Hello everybody,

I have about 2000 names and addresses of people I have sold adult DVDs to from May 2005 to present on eBay. Anybody know some mailing list brokers or people that may be interested? All help and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

they are not considered optin subscribers. not wise to sell.. just setup a newsletter to further profit yourself and ask other dvd store owners, like myself, to swap newsletter plugs or lists

Hm. Since you sent them DVDs I suppose you mean that you have their physical home addresses. I don't know if 2000 is enough but there are list brokers for these kinds of things. You might want to do a google search for "mailing list brokers" or something similar. They rent lists of people who bought something via mail order for example and other things. If one can rent the list of playboy subscribers, I'd bet that you can make some money renting yours.

If you sold the items on eBay it seems you would have both email address and postal address.

If I recall correctly, because you have a business relationship with the buyers, you can email them until they opt out.

Street address -- mail them if you want. People have done that for years. Lots of list brokers out there, but 2000 is a bit low, and the brokers are usually brokering for companies that have huge lists. Adult lists can be rented for as little as $.05 per name in volume.

Maybe you can benefit by selling it directly without the broker. Or, make a deal that combines your list with other lists for a larger mailing.... meaning you have a flyer in the mailing for your products along with flyers for other companies. Split the costs.

They do work. I did mail-order with calendars and stuff like that as far back as 1985 and have often bought lists. Putting something, like a flyer, into the hands of the potential customer works -- but its expensive. Contact me (info on site / sig) if you are looking to combine mailings, or sell direct without a broker.
