which is better photoshop cs1 and cs2?

Some webdesigners still prefer cs1. i was once told that there are some changes in layer linking and some that is not user friendly in CS2. unlike CS1 it is very easy to use. i just need to know which is better coz im thinking to switch CS1 with CS2. but one thing that catches my attention is CS2 rotoscoping feature. im sure video editors know what this is... im a video editor as well as designer BTW.

Lots of little differences, but the biggest reason to move forward is probably to keep base with the current software.

Lots of discussion about the exact differences in Photoshop CS2 as compared with older versions can be read here, and also here.

CS2 THE BEST - REALLY

of course, at first it was a problem with layer linking and other new features, but after some time you forget about it.

I use CS2 around year and I'm really happy with it!
Smart Obejects, Warp transform and other hot stuff !!

I recently upgraded to CS2. What's better? Well CS2 has all the features of CS1 with nothing removed so obviously CS2 is better. You just gotta decide if it's worth it. The vanishing point tool is pretty handy. I find the spot healing tool a little finicky if you're using it around definitive features. It's just assuming you want similar skin texture to whatever's in the immediate vicinity which is not always right. It's great on open skin but otherwise you have to use the regular healing tool. Thumbnails load a lot faster in the bridge of CS2 than in the browser of CS1 (at least they do on Mac, probably the same on PC). Curiously the bridge seems to be missing the sort by width and hight options.
