Quick Question
Is AdultWebmasterSoftware really all that? I use TGSW for gallery submissions and get a fairly good (15K) response to the amateur niche. I'm wondering if using AWS will give me a better return.
Also, for whoever asked about Dreamweaver - rest assured it is THE BEST WYSIWYG editor out there. Fuck these guys are so fucking good that they bought Allaire (HomeSite) and give away their software for FREE! Hand coding use to be the best way to get sites to look the WAY you wanted them to look due to the limitaions of WYSIWYG editors but anyone who still hand codes has just got too much time on their hands. I've been called a knob and a wanker and other cool things before .... but NEVER a noob! What in fuck's name is a noob anyway? Must be some funky abbreviation for something.
Whoever else feels they need to flame me for my hand coding comments you guys can go right the fuck ahead, we all know you have nothing better to do with your time anyway eh! ![]() Back to my original question - how effective is AWS and will it get me better returns than TGSW? PeepNTom, flames are good for ya mate ... it burns cholestrol
![]() I've used notepad to a great extent in the past and I must say, before all these WYSIWYG editors came about it WAS the dog's bollocks and all but these days I just see no sense in wasting any time hand coding when everything can be done with these programmes. I won't say homesite isn't a decent product, in fact I'll go all out and say it just plain sucks ![]() ![]() Cheers mate |

The adult webmaster software package is a good package with a lot of additional tools that are very helpful to the adult webmaster. Their programmer gabba goes out of his way to provide technical support and the program follows a logical progression and is fairly intuitive.
I did not like the pop-ups that were generated during the submission process but it is a trade-off in the sense that it is the only TGP version 1 tool that emulates true by-hand submissions via the use of the WebBrowser OCX in Visual Basic. The popups hinder the ability to let it run unattended but it is a good tool. It is very pricy, but they offer an alternative to their 250.00 purchase price with a $50.00 monthly membership dues. The Russian Submitter is a combination of server based and desktop based tools that has an excellent price (10.00 per month last I checked which is the least expensive of TGP version 1 compliant submission tools). They had some trouble with overloading of the servers but that will just go to show you the number of people using it. They addressed these problems and the tool is solid. TGSW is definately the most flexible tool in the sense that you can "program" your own databases of sites to submit to. A lot more work than the others but definately an excellent feature. I would seriously consider the Adult Hit Kit, which has a free version (For non-recip sites) and a registered version. They are based in Canada and the application is solid. The product manager Jimmer has excellent people skills and really goes overboard to insure client satisfaction. I hope this info helps. I will give myself a shameless plug and tell you that if you want to jump into the TGP2 compliant world that my tool is the only tool available that is designed specifically for the TGP2 market place. Hi Midnight,
Thanks for the insight, it was much appreciated. Too often I see webmasters on here flame newer webmasters for what "they" feel are lame question. Very short memory span, since all of us started out at some point and didn't just drop out the vagina as capable, professional webmasters. Anyway, back to your synopsis. I'm not too keen on the adult Hit Kit, seems way to pricy for something that does the exact same as TGSW. The prgrammers good people skills still wouldn't sway me in the direction of the Adult Hit Kit since every time I have needed assistance with TGSW, which is probably twice in the last year and due to my own ignorance, Robert has been at hand to help out. This AdultWebmasterSoftware however looks promising although I'm not too sure I want to babysit it (you mentioned pop-ups). I want something that's start and go, similar to TGSW. I guess I'll have to stick with it then eh. Cheers and once again thanks for taking the time to enlighten me. =RS= |

Hey Razor,
It's not a problem. I get a lot of grief from my customers because they ask me how I could possibly endorse other tools when I am selling my own tool. Unlike some other people, I find competition to be healthy for any business. Some of my friends ask me how I could possibly endorse a product like the AWS, when a company like AWS does everything they can to flame me for throwing my hat into the ring and compete with both their tool and with TGP version 1 compliant sites. The answer is very simple, my business is not who I am personally and I do not get my self-esteem from the money I make or the product I sell. If I think something is good, I endorse it whether I created it or not. For example, if you told me that you needed a tool that both submitted and managed TGP galleries and submitted and created doorway pages for LInk List sites, I would tell you to buy the AWS tool in a heartbeat. The one distinguishing feature about that software is that it performs much more work than a standard submission tool in the fact that it goes well beyond the TGP realm and handles all of your link list needs as well. Whether or not I like Dada, or even agree with his business practices, he has a committment to excellence in his work and his programmer Gabba is a top notch developer that takes great pride in his work. Life is too short to take things personally. I hope that you experience success with whatever tool you choose to go with and I am certain that any company will work with you to keep you coming back as a satisfied consumer. Regards, ------------------ Midnight

Program comments...
I use Dreamweaver and love it. I use Note Tab Pro and love it too (NoteTab is like Notepad on steriods) http://www.notetab.com I used to code strictly with the text editor, but not invariably tweak all of my Dreamweaver code. I've used Homesite but it has been quite sometime ago. I'm sure it is still a solid program. |
