![]() Greetings GFY webmasters,
My wife and I are new to the Amateur pron niche. We shoot, edit, and sell our own adult content. We started out from scratch by selling videos on webcam sites and selling videos on free platforms like clip4sale. A few months into getting started, we found a webmaster willing to build and promote us a more professional membership site than what the free platforms offer. It turned out to be another successful venture, but of course we're paying the webmaster 50%. We rationalized this as a 50% increase of income which we didn't have prior, but we don't believe in remaining idle as we're building a brand. I've been reverse engineering what the webmaster used in order to construct our profitable membership site included the traffic and promoting techniques. The gist of our membership site includes a Wordpress platform, with Zombaio as the payment processor, and stats counter for tracking. I'm searching for a webmaster who has experience with creating adult memberships sites to basically confirm that I'm heading in the right direction and perhaps provide me with some tips and ideas I may have overlooked. |

No...not looking for a web developer and seo company. I'm hands on, so I'm looking to build another adult membership site for our own content using Wordpress, but I would like to know what plugins and other payment processors I should consider such as Amember and Ccbill.

zombaio does decline legit customers here and there and while ccbill does the same occasionally I find the two processors rarely decline the same person. I'm really happy with zombaio but I do earn more by having alternate payment options. I hear a lot of positive things about epoch as well
In asking about plugins do you mean members area plugins? If so, YourMembers rocks and works well with zombaio (ccbill as well). I had an incredibly difficult time installing zombaio on my wordpress and YourMembers solved the problem completely for me. I seriously cannot say enough good things about Coding Futures (the company behind the plugin). good luck with your new site

Adult Membership Site & Plugins
Thanks JesseQuinn,
I checked out the "Yourmembers" plugin for wordpress and it appears to be what I need especially if they'll help install Zombaio on Wordpress. It looks as though the Yourmembers plugin comes integrated with paypal & clickbank, but I don't think I'll have much need for those payment processors with an adult site. Have you had any need for them and are you operating an adult site with Yourmembers plugin and Zombaio? |

if you have a bit of tech savvy you can set up the plugin with zombaio yourself, or have them set it up for you for a low fee. They also have a support forum where you can seek additional info, have questions answered.

I would re-think your re-investment of time and money to create a new brand. If I am mistaken then please excuse me, but building the site is easy, its hard to get traffic and it sounds like the webmaster got you the traffic.
Good Luck

Keys to Success
Hey Kostly,
Our site went live on March 15th, 2013. The adult webmaster didn't start directing traffic or promoting until March 28. By the time the webmaster begin pouring in traffic/promotions I was already pulling in 13,886 page views and 5,326 visitors per day. Now the credit isn't exactly all mine, because I reversed engineered what she was doing prior to even having our site created. Coincidentally I started messing around with this technique with a much smaller site I built in March of 2010 so it just so happened I was already familiar with the webmaster's traffic techniques. Although I no longer direct or build traffic to this small site...to date it still pulls in 3,000 visitors a month religiously. I know from experience and consensus that most people have problems with "TRAFFIC", but fortunately for me that's not one of my weaknesses. The second problem most people encounter is good "CONTENT". Since my wife and I produce our own content this too isn't a problem. Before I entered this business, I did my homework and research. 5 years of it and I'm still studying today. To be successful one most never become idle or complacent, because your competitors will lap you. In closing, I'll add this...Research, Reverse Engineer, Track & Analyze, then Scale up & Duplicate. If you do these four steps with any Successful business...You will Succeed! ![]() |

![]() It seems that there's a bug that causes data loss with YourMembers and Zombaio. I have been experiencing a lot of problems but CodingFutures seem to have got nowhere in the last couple of months since it was reported to "Premium Support". I am told that the bug is likely to affect all users and it seems to be due to data being lost from the 'Extra field' which contains the membership package type.
I would be interested to hear from other users so we can bring some pressure to bear to resolve the issue promptly: bruce (at) esinem (dot) com |

Yourmembers & Zombaio Bug
Esinem,
If you don't mind me asking, Who installed Zombaio for you and exactly what data is being lost via the bug? |

CodingFutures, authors of YourMembers, did the installation. It is sometimes dropping the data relating to membership type and members need manually activating. CodingFutures just installed a hack to fix it while they continue investigations (over 2mths so far). It doesn't allow full YM functionality but it will handle what I need apparently. Fingers crossed.
I can't say whether it is YM or Zombaio causing the problem or the delay in solving it but it will be a big headache gone when it is sorted. I have my reservations about WordPress for this kind of site unless you really have the knowledge to resolve conflicts between plugins and optimize performance. I have had quite a few trails and tribulations. It is cheap to start out but I can't help thinking a turnkey solution with one butt to kick might have been easier and would have avoided the pain of transferring everything when the time comes for the inevitable upgrade. |

If you want to bring webcam shows in-house as well you'll hold onto more of your money. We don't provide a cam setup but offer one via 2much.net which is widely used and will allow you to do your own shows and control pricing and billing for private shows - http://www.elevatedx.com/webcam.php Currently CCBill, Epoch and Segpay are supported billers so if you're planning to add CCBill this might be a good setup. Elevated X will probably be worth looking into at some point but right now it may be overkill for you. Do check out the cam stuff though, that will be a good thing for you both short and long term. Good luck with the expansion! AJ

Esinem, Sounds like you'll be grateful when they finally get that bug resolved. Before you created your website...did you consider anything else besides Yourmembers?

@Come Watch Us As
I didn't want to go the whole hog and get a merchant a/c, so I was fairly much limited to Zombaio for SM content and thus YM. They seem to be making some headway finally with a fix, although in the past few days I have been getting out of memory errors on my VPS due to something with index.php :-( Not sure if this is related to the fix/debug code or not. |
