What is the purpose in Wordpress blog comments that link google.com
I can't figure this one out...
I understand people leaving comments with their website address in the URL field, but I get some comments with just Google.com and less frequently Yahoo.com in the URL field of the comments, and can't figure out why they would want to leave that as the web address for their comments? What kind of benefit do they get from that if the blog approves the comment? While I'm on it, can someone also explain what exactly is a "pingback" and how they are beneficial? Something I should approve?
