let's say you've started a blog, it has several posts with a good amount of relevant text per post, and you've added it to several blog directories (all of which are pr3 or higher), and traded links with a couple of other sites in the same niche.

a.) is that enough to hit pr1?

b.) how long before you will get the pr1?

I have several sites that are showing as pr0, and a couple that are still showing the damn gray bar in google toolbar (no pagerank information available, im assuming this means google doesn't even know the site exists yet??) and they all match the above criteria. Some of these sites are going on 2 months old, I'm not trying to be impatient but just wondering if I am doing something wrong? Or will I start to get some pagerank love soon?

PR update is every 3-6 months, so you can not expect your pr to change before the pr update.
