Hello,

It is just me or National Net is down?

I can't access many of our sites and their page doesn't seem to work: http://www.nationalnet.com

Its been a few minutes so far like.

I don't have any natnet servers... but I fucking hate hosting.

It's the one aspect of the internet that has NOT improved at all in the past 10 years. Everything shared is oversold as fuck and most support teams real job seems to be getting you off their back

I'm extremely technically inclined and the way that tech support tries to dismiss valid identifiable problems has become a fucking artform.

Sucks to have downtime, but I think this is the first time my machine has been down for over 60 seconds since I started using natnet over 6 years ago. Sales aren't looking good this morning though

Yeah, we've had a few downtimes over the years but not long enough to really affect anything. This is 2 hours so far. not good.

Yeah none of my 1 & 1 servers can ping the nationalnet servers currently but my servers are up for me. Hopefully, dns will propagate soon

First time i've had noticeable downtime, we've been with them 18 months or so, sales figures are sucking right now, at least $400 down at this point in the day, hopefully it won't be long now, i'm getting agitated

Curious, If this is just a DNS issue, why could we not get directly into our boxes for the first 2 hours and now for the last 40 minutes it's been hit or miss on getting in?

Update: Our engineers feel like they have isolated the issue and working on the repair now. Over the next little while you may notice sites going up and down as they work through the repair. Again, we apologize for the issues and we sincerely appreciate your patience.

I don't think this is a "DNS outage" as people are reporting they can't even ping their boxes.

Why would National Net say it was a DNS outage?

That is a fair question....the original diagnosis was DNS related but in actuality there was a deeper issue in our routing that it took some time to diagnose and then isolate. In an effort to get information out to our customers we probably spoke to soon but it was all in an effort to keep you guys posted. Again, sorry for the issues and I assure you that we will have this issue resolved soon.

Hi Brad...as people that know me can attest, I am not the technical brains of the company so I honestly do not know...what I can tell you is that once the dust has settled and everything is back up and running flawlessly we will go through an entire Post Mortem process that will detail every tiny thing that could have caused it, we will analyze how we diagnosed it, and we will define new ways of both avoiding the issue in the future and how we handle future issues.

As I have always promised my clients...we cannot guarantee you perfection...nobody in this business can....but what we can guarantee you is that when troubles do arise we will be mobilized and working on it with ever resource at our disposal.
