it's still a spam and google can detect it and penalize you for that.

too many unrelated, nofollow or profile links in short time lead to spamming blogs and forums.

i'd rather pay more for smaller amount of related index page links with pr than use any kind of spamming service.

tested it myself on several less important sites on both old and new domains in various quantities and it's not worth in the long run, you get the initial boost but it all drops to the previous level very soon and if it's about the new domain, sandbox period will more likely last longer than usual.
