Very high traffic domain for sale - Approx 30k uniques a day - GoFuckYourself.com

It is a former website, and my client did indicate he could offer the website in with the domain if wanted. I'm trying to find out more info on the website itself for those who would be interested in it, or probably more importantly what the traffic is looking for to see if it fits a site you have.

Anyhow, it has an AMAZING Alexa rank of 5,996 and even an OVT w/ ext of 2,221 despite most of the traffic to the name being link traffic. Host data (from when the site was active) -- parking data (parked since late 2/23 Germany time). As you can see, it makes around $200 a day or so. I personally think he could pick a better landing page, but that's just me.

I'm waiting for his response on what KIND of site it was, but I think it was a movie post kind of site, possibly leeching them. Yes, I know...most of you hate those types, but consider this one less to worry about if this name is purchased! Just like with any adult name getting traffic, I think going the affiliate route will be the best option for this name and can make loads more than the parking, especially since this is a former site...going to a website rather than a parked page will please the traffic.

So...if you want to number crunch: 30,000 uniques a day, he's making less than a penny per unique on the parking, but it's feasible to say one of you could squeaze a penny or two per unique out of the name. Say the name drops off at a steady rate down to 20,000/day a year from now. 1 to 2 pennies per visitor STILL amounts to $91,250 - $182,500.

Regarding the site: "It was an adult site. There were more then 5000 adult movies. People was sending their uploads with screenshots from movie. All the files are on free servers and we just indexing them.

It is very simple to handle it as an admin. The admin just have to check people's posts and if they are OK submit them to main page.

It is a heavily modified wordpress blog. There were some ads too.

Avnads, zangocash, adengage and some banners bought buy people. The average revenue was $1200 per month.

Also we used a url shorten service and it is for sale too. People who sending their uploads have to shorten with my service too.

And the total revenue was $2500-$3000.

Another thing to note on the parking stats: my client is NOT a SedoPro member. Those of you who park domains who ARE SedoPro members know that his revenue would get a nice bump for you over what's showing, like 10-20% more revenue. You could expect more from parking sites like Fabulous or Parked also.

Oh, and the name is xxmovies.info btw!

The stats tell the story - most of the website referrals came from people looking for rapidshare and megaupload posts - so it was used to host links to movies on post boards - as soon as those old links get cleaned out the traffic would go to nill - he should have kept it going - looks like he was making some good money

but it's true he should have kept it going. traffic will drop fast and when it's gone the domains will be worthless. good luck with the sale but i doubt you'll get anywhere near of what you're asking for.

Good luck getting payed by Sedo for that... If they notice the domain did not drop, and expire, and they find a huge decrease in traffic, they will put your payment on hold, and cancel it after 30 days. Sedo does NOT approve of unnatural traffic (meaning, non-expired traffic and non-typin). You cannot just switch over a working website to Sedo. do a search, you will not get payed for this!

Not necessarily. I've had a few sites I had to take down and park, and Sedo didn't do squat. Obviously it's a bit less under the radar with the traffic this name gets, but all the more reason I suggested him to put at least some kind of site up, even if it's simply a couple banners to affiliates. I agree that it's silly to park the name, but for mostly the reason of the money that could be made with even just a little bit of work.

That's the whole point of the price of this name though...I know a lot of you either have sites that could use the traffic, make sites and could easily put something up on this domain to make a bundle, or are affiliates and would pay a lot upfront to get a more steady income. The price is not that much if you use the name at all, even if just redirecting to somewhere else. If you kept it parked, yea it could be too costly for you. You can of course be the judge of that.

As far as traffic dropping off with the site gone, sure it's bound to happen at least somewhat, but again from personal experience, it doesn't necessarily drop off a ton. I have a former proxy site domain that is not a type-in that still is getting 200-250 uniques a day, about as much as the site got, well over half a year of the site not being there. As I indicated, even if you lost 1/3 of the traffic over the first year of having it, if you made a penny per unique, which is VERY conservative for adult traffic, then you'd make your money back in a year AND still be at 20,000 uniques a day. If you even just redirected to a small site or put up a small site giving the traffic what it wants (an MGP would be perfect), then who's to say much if any of the traffic would be lost at all?

Actually, it's $80,000 for the domain only (the price was lowered). The full site that was on it + rapidleecher.com and the full site that was on that (which he used in conjunction with the xxmovies.info site) are $95,000. I can provide screenshots of the sites if asked for. The owner was hoping to sell just the domain (why I don't know), but I told him upfront that people are probably going to want the sites too.

As for "Don't come 'round here much, do you?", you're right, I don't...but since I have, I've made two 5-figure domain sales to GFY'ers while a slew of other people here are busy struggling to get $10+ for their POS domains, so what difference does it make? I'm making a small effort to sell a domain and possibly a website of someone else's...if I were him, I wouldn't sell it and would just put up a RSS-fed set-and-forget site and laugh to the bank, but I'm not him.
