moniker.com or godaddy.com

I have been with moniker.com I am pretty happy with them overall but i have been wondering about switching/transfering to godaddy.com since they seem more popular

and their affilaite program seems nice.

for my long over due websites I am using moniker and hostgator or godaddy and hostgator

i am just wanting to be with the best.

halfpint 07-02-2010 03:31 PM

Namecheap all the way.. Iv heard way to many horror storys about godaddy

stickyfingerz 07-02-2010 03:33 PM

I only have a handful of domains left at godaddy, a few at dotster, and most all at moniker. :2 cents:

mikke 07-02-2010 03:37 PM

for long in godaddy - no problems, but since few months buying domains in moniker - without any problems..

so my vote is going to moniker (!)

minniesoporno 07-02-2010 03:38 PM

3 votes for moniker and 0 for godaddy that is a strong lead for moniker.

what about hostgator i seem to enjoy them they are quick on customer service online chat and payments go through no problem for me even using a gift master or visa card.

CYF 07-02-2010 03:38 PM

moniker is definitely better than godaddy

signupdamnit 07-02-2010 03:59 PM

I highly suggest doing a Google search on "Godaddy scam" and then reading the first few pages prior to using them for anything important. :2 cents:

ThumbLord 07-02-2010 04:16 PM

WELL THAT IS EASY, NameCheap

Cyber Fucker 07-02-2010 04:18 PM

both sucks equally

HomerSimpson 07-02-2010 07:00 PM

namecheap.com :thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

seeandsee 07-02-2010 07:01 PM

i am with godaddy, no problems

InfoGuy 07-02-2010 07:34 PM

It makes perfect sense that GoDaddy has more complaints than Moniker because GoDaddy has 34.8 million domains registered and Moniker only has 2.9 million. While both registrars have some negative issues, my preference is GoDaddy.

jrzeygirl 07-02-2010 07:37 PM

Moniker! :thumbsup

same here.

godaddy seems to have gotten expensive when its time to renew domains, still okay if you do over 100 at a time. But I have been buying new domains with moniker lately.

godaddy is much easier to configure your domains though...moniker needs to revamp their website to make it more simple.

KillerK 07-02-2010 07:48 PM

If they are mainstream names then go with godaddy, otherwise use namecheap

fuck moniker

BigRod 07-02-2010 07:53 PM

Moniker rocks!

I have accounts at every registrar mentioned and Moniker is far superior to all of them.

:2 cents:

I've noticed Godaddy is quicker than it used to be which is nice.

Oliver Klozov 07-02-2010 08:22 PM

Moniker all the way! Why you ask? Two words, customer support!

Whats the point of asking?

You asked what to do about your problem with your pc the other day. Which computor to get. Then ended up sticking with the same computor but upgrading your OS.

Why not try them both? :2 cents:

I was with HG a long time & found them exceptional. I changed to adulthosting.com as the owner was more on hand & the whole company are more tightly based. But HG were good for us. How do you find HG?

have you had problems with adult domains at namecheap?

Antonio 07-03-2010 03:42 AM

since it doesn't seem that you are getting the message: namecheap!!!!!

Kysersoze 01-16-2011 11:29 AM

Moniker all the way. I use GoDaddy as well but found their prices to register and to renew are higher. Moniker provides good service.

As a matter of fact about 4 years ago I sold an NSFW site to a big company which has a rep for scamming people (Didn't know that at the time) and they tried jerking me after I transferred the domain. I contacted Moniker which was privately owned at that time and they were great in helping me get everything sorted out by threatening the company to either release the funds from escrow.com or they would return my domain. Been loyal to them ever since.

djroof 01-16-2011 11:33 AM

godaddy for me

CaptainHowdy 01-16-2011 12:31 PM

Godaddy <- :thumbsup!

CyberHustler 01-16-2011 12:37 PM

I'm with Moniker... but want to move, just can't find someone to move to. Moniker will reveal your privacy, so you will pay for privacy for no reason.

u-Bob 01-16-2011 02:47 PM

Fabulous > Gandi > Moniker > Webair > Namecheap > Name > Dotster > Godaddy > 1 and 1 > eurodns

Moniker affiliate is nice???? Are you crazy?:

Quite old but might help open your eyes:
ww w.dnforum.c om/f17/halvarez-scandal-one-man-job-business-model-snapnames-oversee-you-judge-thread-419558.html

And now Monte Cahn is out of business (the guy that was fair until the moment he Oversee took over and he started to take orders).

Now Monte is out of business, when he sold Moniker to Oversee, he got contract to be CEO, day contract expired he was fired.

Now, Moniker head is Craig Snyder. He's pure Oversee guy, so only money matters, quality, service, satisfied customers is II tier priority.

EZRhino 03-08-2011 04:25 PM

Avoid GoDaddy. Stick with Moniker.

spunky99 03-08-2011 04:57 PM

i use godaddy, i lost a domain with moniker because of some issue with their ability to process credit cards (according to the credit card company)

bloggerz 03-08-2011 06:22 PM

+1 moniker

CYF 03-08-2011 06:27 PM

I don't trust Godaddy at all. Moniker is definitely better.

dallasnovelty 03-08-2011 09:51 PM

I have had godaddy for 10+ years with only a hiccup here and there but still pretty good. I would definitely look at some of the other hosting options besides HostGator I had problems with them for a year but every situation is different so YMMV

cooldude7 03-08-2011 10:23 PM

internet.bs - offshore,taxfree,cheapest,no complaints.

carzygirls 03-08-2011 10:30 PM

Short answer... godaddy...

Long... I thought you were just a webcam model? What do you need with reserving domain names?

GAMEFINEST 03-08-2011 11:46 PM

namecheap, moniker and dynadot.com

mikke 03-09-2011 02:39 AM

vote for moniker.com and dont ask why..

Chosen 03-09-2011 06:52 AM

GoDaddy sucks...

CheeseFrog 03-09-2011 09:40 AM

Seriously guys? It's a domain registrar... Its like trying to decide which gas station to air-up your tires at. You guys make it seem like it's similar to choosing between Harvard law school or being a 1st round draft pick in the NBA.

Godaddy has been known to suspend domains. I also think their control panel and constant upsells suck.

3xmedia 03-09-2011 11:54 AM

Moniker :pimp

vdbucks 03-09-2011 12:02 PM

I can't see how anyone uses moniker.. their domain manager blows.. We have a client who uses moniker and every time I go in to manage domain settings I have to go back and forth 10+ times for the new settings to actually take...

I'll stick with namecheap, and even the few domains I have left at name.com before I ever even think of registering a domain with moniker

adultzone 03-09-2011 01:03 PM

Godaddy here.
