domain parking idiots

if you are parking a domain, can you please at least reply to the emails of possible buyers? i am trying to buy a domain for almost a month now, no replies from contact emails, no replies from registrar email, no comment ... if i have a domain that is not ready and you want it, let me know, i can give it to you maybe for free if i dont know what to do, but why the fuck sit on domains you dont even need or you are wasting! really a big fuck off to all those fuckers with parked shits on their nice domains ... thanks for reading, and fuck again! :)

Shits happening....

keep trying, chances are, if they have it parked, they have no idea how to really monetize it and you should get it fairly cheap

I've been trying to buy a few parked domains and from my experiences it seems like some people just don't give a fuck.

sorry email sent.

The reality is most large domainers get tons of unsolicited emails from people who want to buy their parked domains. Chances are that if you're not getting replies to your offers, you're not offering any substantial amount of money.

These potential buyers wrongly assume that because parked domains are not being used in the sense of a developed site, that they can make lowball offers. If you want your offers to be taken seriously and increase the chances of getting a reply, include the domain name with a substantial offer price in your subject line.

Sometimes the buyer doesnt follow instructions. It may say include your offer. If you dont, then they ignore you.

Other times the offer is so low, they wont bother to respond.

I have had that happen a few times.. took a guy 6 months to reply for a 1k offer. By then I had made other arrangements.

Yes I agree 100%
This is the first post that makes sense in this thread

no offer / low ball offer = no reply, like InfoGuy said domainers get numerous "offers" per day, they don't have time for games... :2 cents:

No "this domain is for sale" link on the parking page? Takes alot of time to filter legitimate offers from spam when you got 500+ domains, so most just don't bother.

TeenCat 06-16-2010 08:52 AM

thank you for replies everyone, looks like i have to try with higher number, but it is not possible for me as the domain will be used for charity and i am doing everything for free. so, what to do, lets try to find something similar for 8 bucks :) wish you best with your sites everyone! :thumbsup

How much are you offering in the contact email?

If you send emails offering $150 then many people probably don't care.

ErectMedia 06-16-2010 10:56 AM

I have hundreds parked, hundreds lightly developed into stores and some fully developed. Some of them rarely get offers where others get offers every month. I try to respond to most inquiries but I do skip a few that look shady based on email address used and the ip address and those that offer $10-$50 and claim to be struggling college students (heard that one 10-20 times) as it's not worth the time as most of mine are from 1999-2006 so with the amount of renewals small offers wouldn't be worth it. I did turn a $50 offer into $7500 once though so you never know. I know a lot of guys ignore free email addresses and low offers. Good luck on getting that domain or an alternate. :thumbsup

latest one...

Looking into purchasing (edited).com. The site forwarded us here. We are a
group of college students working on a school project. We have a fairly low
budget for this purchase.

I wish domains cost $100 then people would be more willing to sell and less willing to register and sit on them.

would probably just end up in big domain companies hands namemedia, oversee etc... so instead of having thousands of resellers you would have 5-6 of the big dogs owning everything and your chances are greater to pull from a smaller investor who isn't backed by millions of dollars in capital.

:2 cents:

Also keep in mind some parked domains may earn more in a year than what was offered.
