I fought in Bosnia and Kosovo. I know guys that went home to find their entire families. One guy found his mother, father, brother, sisters, grandparents and great grandfather slaughtered. He had to smuggle in an Imam into town just so they can do that ritual washing and prayer, then the guy buried his entire family in a cornfield. Sounds like a great war movie subplot, right? 100% true. This fucker never shed a tear. He's in North Jersey now. |
in ww2 that shit was commonplace. someone is confusing gi joe with reality.

WTF these guys are fighting for I can't really tell you ..... . |

I don't support the war and yes said indeed, I wouldn't want to be in their shoes but then again with all the patriotic crap most don't even know why they are fighting.
Brain washed if you ask me :2 cents: |

Yeah, because you're a huge pussy when mortars are going off and you're possibly about to die...
|
I don't find it, one bit funny! and the fact that you do, speaks volumes about you, as a human being.
|
"There are no atheists in foxholes"
Fuck you to anyone who finds this funny. Fuck you. |
Fuck that is a pretty low thing to say even for GFY standards. War is not funny and I'm willing to bet most would be scared shitless.
I know I would be, |
How the hell do these vids make it to fucking YouTube ???

i'd love to see some of the keyboard warriors here in an actual firefight or life and death situation.

I suspect that blog burglar would piss himself and be crying for his mommy if someone set off a firecracker near him.
And no, I don't believe that he is a vet of anything more stressful than potty training. |

For the record, just exactly where in that video did you hear anyone crying?

i grew up near an army base, and my dad used to hire "army boys" as farm hands once in a while. usually they were just, idiots. yes, idiots. not bad guys, just young guys who weren't overly bright and didn't have a whole shitload of options for themselves. in fact most of them were likeable people.
judging by the majority of the army guys i've met from anywhere, i'd assume this makes up for probably like 75% of the army's recruits. young guys strapped for cash and options, who are promised a paycheck and training that will "better their lives" now they're getting mortars lobbed at the for no reason other than the defend the "principal" of a country's government who is meddling in shit they have no fucking business in. america's liberty is threatened by no one other than the american government. america could bunker in within it's own borders, and no one would ever touch it. but the american government chooses to instigate shit for financial gain while throwing the body's of it's lower class in the line of fire so it's richest of upperclass pricks can get richer. comparing this to world war 2 is fucking ridiculous... |

there was praying and a guy melting down. screaming. i guess if you are a socially retarded and physically repulsive grown man living at home you might have a distorted view of reality.

The thread starter does a great disservice to the brave young men and women fighting currently in Afghanistan and in Iraq, as well as those whom fought during WWII.
My step-father was a young Marine in WWII, and is a very tough old guy to this day, but he would be the first to admit that he and everyone around him was scared as hell. When you see friends wounded and killed, you can't help but cry sometimes. Since they were involved in close combat, they could see the faces and hear the cries of the enemy troops, and the civilians as well. Even that haunts and scares you. I served in the Navy for six years, although I was never in combat, however I had many friends that were in combat, and most would mention how terrifying it was at times. One of the saddest days of my life occurred when several of my friends died in a plane crash during a routine training flight at the base where I was stationed. We heard the plane crash (and at the time didn't know which aircraft it was), but by the time I arrived at the air strip a few blocks away, word had already spread, and there was a large group of people hugging each other and crying, since it was obvious that all aboard had perished. My roommate at the time was a corpsman, and was among the group that had to recover the bodies and body parts after the fire was extinguished. He was so traumatized by the experience that within six months he was given a medical discharge. I'm about as anti-war as a person can be, and I was absolutely against the war in Iraq, however I nonetheless respect and honor our people who serve in the military, regardless about how I feel about the war they are in. When I dislike a specific war, I take it up with the politicians that are authorizing and funding it, not the troops. I hope the original poster will take the time to view this video: A book that I also highly recommend to all is "Johnny Got His Gun", by Dalton Trumbo. Peace, ADG |
