AS FAR AS THE ANOTHER POST, MY son is RA (E-5)....he had the choice between WHATEVER College he wanted, at no expense to him (yes, rumor has it i made a few dollars in this biz), but he chose to enlist after 9-11.....

All I was attempting to state was that they are normal guys, many of whom joining the army was the best option for. Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to think the war is a bad idea and that it would be foolish to join the military during such a war without actually hating soldiers or being un-American.
