There is not a speckle of doubt in my mind that you've got more information about what goes on with suicidegirls models than I do.

I get my all information from the site itself, model websites, and occasionally from talking to the people who run it (just spooky actually).

My impression is that they've estranged themselves from the rest of the adult web intentionally. It's also clear that they do well monetarily but give the people that work for them a different story. They have the allure of media attention and I've heard there's a ridiculously long list of girls trying to sign on, most of whom get rejected. Not to mention the exciting job market in Portland.

there was an article in Wired about a year ago about SuicideGirls, the girl who owns it definitely doesn't want to be associated with porn sites and she tried very hard, too hard in my opinion, to get the idea across that she wasn't making much money and it's not about the money. No, what I am saying is that a homeless person does have other choices but they often choose to dine in the dumpster. Why? Who the hell knows but these girls often make the wrong choice too. Some of them are homeless or at least very broke. Most shooters around here do not have many options for them so they take the handouts that they are given.

It's sad. I read an artical in the Portland Tribune a while ago where they were bragging about making 10's of thousands off of the site. If you are making that much then you should at least pay the going rate for the market you are in. The models in this business are underpaid as is.

what you have to realize, is its not just that the girls are forced to write journals, and the ones who do for the most part are not faking them. A lot of the girls who pose do it cause they enjoy it, and yet they don't really want to become porn stars, or traditional internet talent.
