I sign up last night for ARS for the first time ever -- they have to "approve" your account before you can send them traffic. What a bunch of crap. So I wait -- today I get an email "ARS Webmaster Application -- DECLINED"

Holy shit. The email says my site was down and to "reapply". Like I got time for these bullshit antics. Here's my fucking traffic graph for today (Sexcounter) -- I was clearly not down -- what the fuck?! So they totally delete my application?! These people are morons. They obviously don't want my business.

Honestly, I had the same thing happen to me with Traffic Cash Gold. I signed up with them since Diabolical Galleries makes the revshare pages for them (among many others), and I got a similar message. I just deleted it, and then removed them from my sponsor info in the Diabolical sponsor database. I also had a moment of geek rage when this occured. It wasn't pretty, and I am not proud of it. But at least there were no witnesses.

Every single application for an account with ARS is reviewed for ARS TOS compliance before it is approved. As I told you on the phone, I was reviewing your account, tried your site URL 5 or 6 times, and it kept coming up with a 404 error. You then gave me a URL that worked over the phone, so I told you to reapply and email me when you did so that I could be sure that you were approved quickly. How can I ensure that your site complies with our TOS if I cant even view it? If you want to send traffic to ARS, great. If not, then good luck in the future. If you have any questions or want to discuss this further, you have all my contact info.

Sounds like bullshit to me. You know damn well that most webmasters send traffic from many domains, and your verification for compliance to TOS is a load of shit. What am I supposed to have a sign up a new application form for each domain that I own?

As for all the decaf comments... at least I give a shit. So many of you just sit back and receive your ass kicking over and over again... and nothing ever changes. At least with my enraged GFY postings I get results. The sponsors always come here because they know what's what. Bad PR is bad PR.

It's just principle. If you delete somebody's account, at least apologize and offer to work on a solution so that future webmasters don't waste their time filling out long application forms for no reason. If you didn't want my biz, you should have at least said so before I filled out the form.

Well if they don't have time for that -- then they obviously don't have time for new affiliates. If they don't have time, why even bother having an employee to review applications?

Yeah it's called customer service. If they want me to send them traffic -- the least they can do is be respectful. If their attitude is that they don't give a shit -- why not just use a script to test 404 and scan for TOS keyword violations -- at least then I wouldn't have to wait a whole day for the response that basically = FUCK YOU.

The problem is I shouldn't be filling out these applications in the first place. I'm doing them a favor, not the other way around.

He told me on the phone he reviewed my application today, besides the screencap was at around noon, and those 16 hours cover through the time that I signed up.

So yes, I do have proof that they fucked up. And unless they can magically produce my ORIGINAL APPLICATION out of "deletion" -- then they really have no proof that they FUCKED UP.

ARS is in a catch 22 --

1. If they can prove that it was a typo then they are fucking liars and they didn't really delete my application.

2. If they really deleted my application, then:
A) they need a new connection because my site was up
B) they need a new employee
C) they need a new policy regarding deleted applications
D) all of the above

Why not signup again? Your account was deleted as a result of your typo.

However, you filled out a form incorrectly, so you are the retard. Why would they keep a record of all the applications submitted by ding bats that cant fill out a form correctly in the first place??? Give it a rest, and if you really want an account with them, then fill out a new form, and try to get it right this time...They arent responsible for your lack of professionalism, or the lack of. The same shit happened a couple of weeks ago w/ CCBill losing my application! But CCBill was kind enough to not only contact me by ICQ, apologize, BUT ALSO THEY FIXED THEIR SYSTEM and offered to buy me drinks in Vegas. A deleted application is a deleted application.

That was a deleted application caused by problems with their software.

This situation is a DECLINED application cause by YOUR error. Then you try blaming them. Dude, you fucked up, big deal! Go file another application (takes 5 minutes) or walk in a different direction.

I dunno, i'm gonna side with ARS on this one, for every one good application they probably get 5 bad ones. It wouldn't be cost/time effective for them to contact everyone about mistakes on their applications. I run webmaster resources and i get a similar ratio of crap submissions. I even get people sending me TGP galleries and wanting to be listed on Webmaster Vault, it can be a tedious process picking through the crap.
