Got My Brand New Kia for Half Price!

I went to a junk yard and bought a clunker that barely ran for 100.00 bucks.
Pulled into the Kia Dealership and sold it to them for $4,500.00!!

Damn what a great program. Cash for Clunkers.
Dont have a clunker and want to get 4500.00 off on a new car???

Head to the Junkyard!
The Junkyards are full of em!

camgirlshide 07-31-2009 06:38 PM

what happened to the rule where you had to prove you owned the car for at least 1 year?

They dont enforce it.
Its 8 pages long of crap. They just want the title and the car.

TidalWave 07-31-2009 06:40 PM

Great. I love how you SCAMMED the tax payers, the government, and the dealership.
When the government goes over the paperwork and notices that you haven't owned the car for 1 year (if they ever do) they will decline the $4500 rebate to the dealership.

baddog 07-31-2009 07:15 PM

Fucking Obama . . .
Quote:

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- The House on Friday passed a bill to allocate another $2 billion to the Cash for Clunkers program.

The move came after reports on Thursday had raised concerns that the program was out of money.

The bill which diverts $2 billion from a U.S. Department of Energy program loan guarantee program, passed 316-109. The bill will face tough opposition in the Senate, which is expected to take up the issue next week.

"I'm pleased about the progress made in the House today about the cash for clunkers program," said President Obama, in a speech immediately following the vote.
Pleased about what?

DateDoc 07-31-2009 07:17 PM

Whether it is good or bad at least some people are getting a good deal instead of only a big corporation.

Anal Hobbit 07-31-2009 07:18 PM

I love Obama.
Check out this ride man.

http://www.echoes.com/newcar.jpg

Brand Friggin new. I got it with 4k Manf Rebates, 4500.00 in Cluker rebates, Dealer discounts and cash discount.

anal hobbit is not stealing money. he is getting back all the money he has spent in sales taxes to the gov't and any other shit he might of paid taxes on.

power to the people! if I was in the states I would do the same thing!

bronco67 07-31-2009 09:33 PM

As soon as I heard about this program, the first thing popped into my head was all of the scamming and stealing that'd happen -- in the government and the people out there turning in cars.

Thanks for taking my money.

Anal Hobbit 07-31-2009 09:39 PM

Your money?
Do you even pay taxes?

Im not taking anyone's money. The money is mine. Im earning it.

Write that tip down. You want money? Earn it.

Anal Hobbit 07-31-2009 09:41 PM

Im sharing this info with you people in case anyone actually wants to earn some money. I hear all the time about and hear you GFYers cry all the time about tough times, tubes, blah blah blah.

Well do something about it.

The tip is there. The money is there. If you sit around and cry about money and dont do something about it then I dont know how to help you. Obama doesnt either.

You can just sit there and cry I guess. Some of us are out there making something of it.

http://politifact.com/truth-o-meter/...-program-woul/

I've got trouble believing this. The requirement is you have to show insurance on the trade in vehicle for up to one year prior. Granted Barak Obama and the Democrats are idiots but even I can't believe they're that stupid and I've got trouble too imagining dealers would risk losing the rebates or risk facing criminal charges of fraud when there's more than enough legitimate demand for the vouchers.

And I wouldn't risk attempting something like this either because once the Feds start running computer checks on the rebates against insurance databases and you weren't actually eligible; they will come after their money and minimally take tax refunds back instantly and if you don't get a tax refund at the end of the year, just wait 'til you see those interest rates.

Im not sure which people I love more. The ones who cry about these things taking place and do nothing or the ones who sit back and overanalyze, doubt and disbelieve themselves into doing nothing.

Either way shit passes them by all the same.

Anal Hobbit 07-31-2009 10:16 PM

Hey was I not right about the Credit Card Tip I gave everyone?
Was I not right about the Home Modification Tips I gave everyone??

People didnt believe me then. When they finally believed me it was too late and the banks caught on and put on much tighter restrictions.

One thing is for sure. If the gov is passing out money, it takes them a good while to secure it from scammers and people like me.

The funny thing is its people like you all who months later say oh I wish I had done that only when its too late.

You people crack me up.

Do you honestly think this stupid cash for clunkers is scammer proof.
If so, you are a fucking idiot.

This'll be a thread to revisit a year or so from now - when Anal Hobbit's forced to repay the clunker rebates. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Lemme guess - you also bought a cardboard box in New Orleans and applied for a $500k grant to have your 'home' rebuilt after Katrina, too.

SmokeyTheBear 07-31-2009 10:35 PM

Q: Can I go to the junkyard and buy an old car and use it for a trade?

A: You have to have owned the car for a year and show continuous registration and insurance for the clunker you trade in. Sp any recent car purchases, trades or transfers would not qualify.

SmokeyTheBear 07-31-2009 10:41 PM

seems to be a bit of conflicting info, there is def a one year insurance stipulated in the gov rules so buying a junkyard clunker is out of the question according to the official rules as of jul 24, but it also states as long as the car has been insured for the last year regardless of name, so you could go buy a cheapo car that someone is using..

(B) has been continuously insured consistent with the applicable State law and registered to the same owner for a period of not less than 1 year immediately prior to such trade-in;

the requirement of having a title is because you are actually signing your title over not to the dealer but the United States of America, so they can destroy the vehicle.

http://www.walletpop.com/blog/2009/0...money-ran-out/

this guy did the cash for clunker program and blogged about his experience. He was forced to go to his insurance agent and get proof.

You guys must be brain dead.......
Ive told you yes this is a rule.... But they do not Enforce it!

Its kinda like when you go to the DMV to renew your tags, (if your state has a DMV) and they tell you to write down your insurance info to prove you are insured. You make that shit up! They NEVER EVER CHECK IT!!

In this case all you need is one of these.
http://www.albemarledowntown.com/biz...ate%20farm.jpg

Are you GFYERS So Fucking Dumb I have to teach you how to make a fake one of these ones too? Do I really have to hold you hand through the whole process?

Ive told you it can be done. It has been done. And all there is here is a bunch of doubt!
Tell them you are insured. Show them a card. Show them your current card for your current car.
THEN MAKE A FAKE ONE FOR THE DUMP CAR..

If they do call to verify (which i assure you they dont) they verify the coverage. Which you are covered...
Just not for that car.

But trust me, this isnt the FBI. Its a hungry car salesman that want a sale. They want the fucking sale! BAD...

I used a homemade insurance card for many years. Only had one cop question its authenticity. But it was Christmas day and he said he could not really prove it, but if he stopped me again on another day he would.

lazycash 07-31-2009 11:12 PM

Can't really blame BP for trying this. With his restaurants going under and his tgps sinking fast, he needs every discount he can get.

It's just a continuous degeneration,

I've used sarcasm a couple times recently and found out that some people really have a hard time to understand.

Horny Dude 08-01-2009 12:58 AM

Fuck that, too much work. I just rent out rooms to old people then bury them in my backyard and keep on cashing their SSI checks. Only $4,500, pfffffttt, that's a small time scam, you gotta think big if you want to roll.

BusterBunny 08-01-2009 01:19 AM

awesome i used your tip on scalping tickets to get the cash to buy my clunker now i sold my clunker for 25% more than i paid after the trade....i love you :liebe028:

wow! nice of you!

InternetIsForPorn 08-01-2009 01:41 AM

Yeah, I love the way my lease worked out.

If I'd want to buy the car out, by now I would OWE the credit company MORE than what a car like mine (brand new, with a better package) costs.

So now I was like fuck it - take the car away. Will get something much nicer and muuuucccchhh cheaper.

I think they made this program to help the car producers sell more cars, not to help you get a new ride. They don't give a shit if you drive a new or old car, they probably tax old cars more than new :2 cents:

New cars is also cleaner and cause less pollution, so if you do not do this you are the reason we will see global warming..Thanks a lot! :Oh crap

Machete_ 08-01-2009 03:51 AM

The sick part of that "for Clunkers program" is, that a lot of the people buy imported cars, so every time you get $4500 in rebates to buy a imported car, you send $4500 out of the country.

Every time you send money out of the contry, you put your own nation in to debt.
When you send $4500 out of the country, you need to make $4500 + interest back.
