Should search engine results be influenced by SOCIAL relevancy?
I'm sure by now, you've heard of the use of Twitter search as a "search engine" function. Looking deeper, should "social relevancy" from these sites influence search results from REAL search engines?
Here's one possible look into the future http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives...vancy_rank.php This is important because if this happens, search results will be MORE OPEN to manipulation. Just try doing a search on Twitter and you'll see more SPICED HAM than a trip to a Hormel factory.:Oh crap:winkwink: |
who are you, again?
and yeah, things are going to change, probably for the worse, but the spammers are ruining things in a big way the way things are being done none already, google serps are a mess... things were better 5 years ago |
If it does become a ranking factor, then it'll be easily abused by spammers.
