no offence mate, but when two parties are fighting each other itīs always smart to keep his own ass out of it ...

What did you buy?
A design? I hear all this talk about copyright's and stuff. Well as of this morning you may have paid amp for the design, but it has been registered under copyright laws by my copyright attorney this morning. All this talk about copyright's and shit, i really doubt any of you ever legally registered anything. In fact im willing to bet none of you even have attorney's or can afford one. If you can and do, please send me a copy of the LEGAL Copyright showing a date previous to this morning. Becasue as far as I know, I now LEGALLY own the design dispite who created it, owned it or bought it. Bow to the Power. |
|
nice :1orglaugh
|
Do any of you know how copyright laws really work?
Do any of you really take the time to register this legal document? Id like to see it. Ill show you mine if you show me yours. Hope you didnt fork over too much cash Vegas. I have nothing against you bro, its just I like Drama and what a better way than to spend some cash on my part and throw this wild card into the fire. |
[Nelson voice] HA HA !
|
bone your so funny... the artist get automatic copyright..heh
and funk I took a chance and I bought it...... call me evil but im not to give HM any slack or beeing a pussy... either he pays me equal amount that I gave or let me use it... the design is to be used on studiovegas.com when amp gets the changes made... Vegas |
and anyone who knows me KNOW that I hate being put on wait.... HM will have a chance to get it back if he really wants but the door is only open for so long...
hehe and BP i like the drama myself thats why if me and hungry does not settle I will guarantee that only my design will be up. |

Also were any legal contracts ever signed on any deals here? You may think you are selling HM a product, but in reality HM needs to pay me for these rights now. You are officially a nobody. |

this is serious man!
I actually paid some cash and had this all copyright filed. I shit you not!! I love drama! How much were you selling your "automatic" rights to this for? Just so I have some kind of measuring stick..... |

I bought the design from the original artist... I know a little about copyright after my last rundevu with a looser trying to steal my work and the lawyer gave me a little lecture.... :thumbsup |
bp $1000.. you know I'll never go out of a deal and loose more than I paid....
|
Im selling my copy for 850.00
|
"I actually paid some cash and had this all copyright filed."
... I stood next to him, he is not in funny mode right now ... this is serious, the design will be used at studiobone.com |

bhutocracy
I dont care only one will be using that design and I have not been contacted yet so I expect that to be me! |
"Im selling my copy for 850.00"
you gotta be fucking kiddin, ey ?? didnīt we just pay $3.500 to get the legal stuff done ?? |
Serious Question:
Why would you buy a design that has so many problems attached to it? And to be 100% honest that design kinda sucks, even amp mentioned he wasn't to fond of it. You should have paid money to have a new site built and avoid all this. |
and bhutocracy you don't have all the inside details but trust me when I tell you....
If I have to paybone $850 just to teach people I hate to be ignored then I'll gladly pay up his fee..... no matter how you twist it I own the design and it will be online on www.studiovegas.com if HM does not contact me.... |

I actually dont care if me buying this design is bad taste... AMP is my long term designer and when I saw him thirsthy I offered him endless supply of beer.... I offered to pay what is owed to take over the design because I could use it and help out one I respect... I have pointed out if HM wants the design he needs to pay me equal amount no less no more.. thats fair in my book and a lesson teached! |

one before that took a full twelve months to get a model release form to me. |
Interesting. I suppose if someone copyrighted this material already legally since yesterday, you paid the initial $30 for registration of a claim to copyright. Then you paid the $580 for special claim to expedite the registration of your qualified claim, assuming your claim was qualified. I think there is a waiting period for approval of a claim as well, which would provide an opposing party the opportunity to file their claim too. So I doubt any claim filed yesterday is legally valid today.
:winkwink: |
"And to be 100% honest that design kinda sucks, even amp mentioned he wasn't to fond of it."
... not anymore, adjustments have been made. <img src="http://www.markscash.com/images/fun/studiobone.jpg"> |
hehe funk its mine made arrangements to payup....
and don't say im evil cuz I contacted hungryman right after the purchase... offfer stands until tomorrow midnight mytime.... HM contact me and lets talk... if not I WILL BE THE ONLY ONE USING THE DESIGN. Vegas |

"Your work is under copyright protection the moment it is created and fixed in a tangible form so that it is perceptible either directly or with the aid of a machine or device." So the moment the design was created, it was indeed copyrighted. |

Copyright is automatic. As soon as an artist creates something, he has copyright. While trademarks are often registered, copyrights definitely don't need to be. Boneprone, you need to find some new jokes. The current material is getting old.
|
I'm just making this post because I realized it would be 100. Ah. There we go. :winkwink:
|
Use the poor mans copyright.
Send a disc containing the completed PSD to yourself via fedex something thts trackable with a signature. Keep it sealed till theres a problem. |
well sounds great thats less money to spend on my behalf
|
"and don't say im evil cuz I contacted hungryman right after the purchase"
... I would never say such things. |

(and only do if when you are in court -- but it would never go that far if they are unable to prove their ownership) Poor mans copyright kicks ass :) |
Quote:
But yeah, a lot of writers use the poor mans copyright before they send their newly completed works off to people for review/consideration. If its still unclear here.... You would put your completed works in a fedex envelope & ship it to yourself. Then you have the earliest record of the completed works. |

Hahahahah I agree with this one totally. I love when people say TALK TO MY LAWYER...when they wouldn't even know where to find one bedies the yellow pages...or 1-800-THE-EAGLE. |
Quote:
Bone, if you really filed a claim yesterday, it's invalid, and you just wasted your $3500 or whatever it was you paid. :winkwink: :winkwink: |
cool and because im the only one with the original psd files (which has a time stamp so you can see when they are created) I will have no worries....
nice trick! but thats something I'll have to worry about tomorrow :) |
Quote:
I for one wouldn't purchase a design without psd's and originals of all images/clipart used. Whoever holds the PSD's could techinically argue that they are the original design. You could try to show other examples of work to prove that it LOOKS like the same type of design. But if that was worth anything, there would be a lot of bands that could sue each other for sounding like one another. They could say that the music that sounds like them was acutally originally created by them (if they had the original tracks as well - like in this case with mutiple people having PSDs) |
