watermarking ur content with pornpros is just fucked enough.
but now, disgraced18,com with "humiliated,com" watermarks??.
so sad.. i was actually looking forward to promoting the site.. until i checked the trailer.

i guess i have to apologize for building up our network brand. humiliated.com won't always be a simple redirect to pornpros.com, you just have to see into the future :) if we can opt to begin branding from day 1, then we will. branding is essential to long term viability in this business.

I understand what the webmaster is complaining about but, alot of the programs brand all their content with their with their one megasite.

FYC is one of the best programs around, and they definitely treat their affiliates right, because I've been one for quite a while!

This is the dumbest shit to complain about. If you have to complain about a sponsor watermarking their content to have something to complain about, I guess that's a good thing.

hit them up and ask for videos with no watermark, should be pretty easy to explain to them what typein means for your payout

Watermarking with a different url than what the affiliate is promoting is going to cause a definate traffic leak. It makes it look like the affiliate is promoting a different site than were the content comes from.

The guy does have a valid point. Imagine how many signups you lose to surfers seeing the vid, and bypassing your link to just type in that url.

Unfortunately, the sponsor has a very valid point also... so.. /thread

No one is saying don't watermark your content but watermarking your content with another websites url is misleading to the surfer and can lead to the surfer looking up the url on the image and not using the affiliate link

yes, and this is only a temporary thing. the only difference would be us having pornpros.com on it instead of humiliated.com. humiliated.com is a simple redirect to pornpros.com - from what I remember, one without any cookie interference.

The OP is dismayed that the videos he's using to promote Disgraced18.com with are watermarked with humiliated.com, right?

I would think this would be detrimental to BOTH the affiliate AND the sponsor. The affiliates problem is obvious.

In addition, I would think that a surfer would see that and think to himself that what he's watching is just an old scene from an old site that they're now rehashing on a new site. Don't know if that's true or not but perception is reality. I'm just saying, if I have my surfer hat on, that's what I'd be thinking and then I'd move on to the next gallery/video/whatever. Thus, losing money for both the affiliate and the sponsor.

Then, I'd just go to a tube and whack it for days. :-)

The watermarked url is also owned by the sponsor so its definitely not detrimental to them. Its technically an indirect traffic leak and I can see how some affiliates might not like it, but there's so many more blatant sponsor tricks going on than this.

It took awhile but finally there are people coming in to this thread that understand what the guy was actually talking about rather then just the watermarked content itself!!!!

This watermarking doesn't bug me. I noticed it. Specially now that I even know it is cookieless redirect. Even better. I dig getting my checks like clock work from you. Also, any questions I've had both ivo and pb have been more than helpful.

any watermark is a traffic leak, deal with it, if you dont like it, create your own brand and content and watermark the shit out of it.

it's true, and I think more and more as time goes by, surfers are getting more savvy as the years go by and are typing in url's when they want to sign up vs. clicking

perhaps we need a new trend with some sponsors offering non-watermarked content for promo :2 cents:

it would be an interesting experiment to build a site solely with non-watermarked content to see what kind of difference in ratios there would be
