JD 01-26-2009 02:35 PM

the hulk would own his ass

CaptainHowdy 01-26-2009 02:50 PM

I vote Martian Manhunter...

TRe$yNFuL 01-26-2009 03:34 PM

Hulk turns to a puss when he's not hulk.

Ironman could shoot a burst of flames on David Banner and kill em before he turns to hulk.

Hulk beat him in his hulk buster suit when he returned to Earth.
He really did a number on Dr Strange's hands too.

After Shock Media 01-26-2009 04:10 PM

If going by comic book standards, especially with their actual power levels and not the movies. Hulk would win.

Pornwolf 01-26-2009 04:14 PM

"Hulkbuster suit?"

I must be out of touch, when and why did Iron Man have to get a Hulkbuster suit?

Hulk's always been in and out of trouble due to losing control. That's how his power grows, his anger/rage. The worse it is, the stronger and more out of control he gets.
So Iron Man, fearing that one day he'll go beyond what anyone's seen so far, built a "Hulk Buster" suit designed specifically to fight the hulk.
Even has jet engines on the arms to forcefully push his punches that much harder.

Anyway, that suit of armor was put to use several times but most recently Iron Man, Dr Strange, Reed Richards and and The Black Bolt sent him into space as he was completely out of control. Well, he survived and returned... even madder than before.

He took apart Iron Man's suit pretty easily, as well as every other hero they could throw at him.

When it comes to superhero strength, it's:

1. Superman
2. Hulk...not #1 because he can't fly
3. Everybody Else.

Powers

The Hulk possesses an incredible level of superhuman physical ability. His capacity for physical strength is potentially limitless due to the fact that the Hulk's strength increases proportionally with his level of great emotional stress, anger in particular. The Hulk uses his superhumanly strong leg muscles to leap great distances. The Hulk has been known to cover hundreds of miles in a single bound and once leaped almost into orbit around the Earth. The Hulk has shown a high resistance to physical damage nearly regardless of the cause, and has also shown resistance to extreme temperatures, poisons, and diseases in addition to regeneration of damaged or destroyed areas of tissue at an amazing rate.

The Hulk's body also has a gland that makes an "oxygenated per fluorocarbon emulsion", which creates pressure in the Hulk's lungs and effectively lets him breathe underwater and move quickly between varying depths without concerns about decompression or nitrogen narcosis.

Not enough of a comic geek :winkwink:
First you would have to base superman on if it is after they limited him or before.
Then the issue of DC versus Marvel universe, where for instance Marvel has assorted comic bood gods as well as charectors such as Galactus.

StuartD 01-26-2009 08:15 PM

Superman and The Hulk have fought before.
Of course, those fights never really answer any questions but they've fought.

Nice to know there be other current or at least former comic geeks on here.

BVF 01-26-2009 08:31 PM

Spiderman and Hulk have fought before also....It didn't go too well for spidey.

I have to disagree

1 Galactus
2 Apocalypse
3 Surfer
4 Rouge
5 Superman

SomeCreep 01-26-2009 09:29 PM

Iron Man. Technology beats steroids any day.

Rouge is French for "red". :D

yeah I mean she can absorb powers and use them against her weakened opponent so the hulk tries to punch her as soon as he makes contact she has his powers and he is weakened same with superman same with almost everyone

They have fought, and the hulk has not always been considered a good guy.

To have a meaningful list you really gotta take out gods, ethereal beings, demons, etc., otherwise, the list gets kind of stupid. Therefore throw out Galactus, The Beyonder (who was basically a God), Phoenix, and other folks like that. Hell, I'm surprised people didn't bring up Thor. Odin (his dad) would whup on any mortal.

As for mutants-superheroes that were born human, I'd go with:

Hulk

Molecule Man

Wolverine (he is basically industructable with rapid regen and adamantium skelly)

Prefoessor X

Dr. Strange

It would be interesting to see rouge fight hulk but I doubt that she can lay a finger on superman, not with his speed.

Yes, but the hulk gets mad enough he can rip the side of a mountain off and crush her with it, never having to touch her. I wouldn't have put her on the list.

Someone mentioned Blackbolt earlier, now THAT guy had some badass power. One wisper from his mouth and it's like a small nuke just hit. Bodies fly, buildings crumble, shit gets ruined.

He yells a single syllable and whole planets...well you get the picture. As long as he doesn't get laryngitis he'd even kick Galactacus' ass.

very true but the fact that she permanently absorbed Ms. Marvels powers give her the ability to anticipate her enemy's next move he would have to try to fight her physically and as soon as he touches her they are at least equal unless she gets a grip on him long enough to really weaken him

I believe that she will not be fast enough to dodge him even if she can predict his next move.
