Help! computer went nuts
 
I don't know what the hell happen but my computer won't let me download pages that start with https://.....fuck I can't go to paypal, view stats at Ibill, etc.

I've never had any shit like this go down before...can anybody help me find out what the hell is going on?!!?

I use ME, IE6, and have a cable modem

It might help if you told us what happens when you try to go to an https site.

Try opening your Internet explorer (if you use that one)
pres:
1 - Functions ->
2 - settings ->
3 - chose the "advance" page ->
4 - Chose "reset to default" in the bottom right
5 - Reboot the system and se if it works

This what I get and it has been like this for two days for sites that start with https://

A DNS lookup error occurred. The host was not found.

Sounds like a proxy / caching error.

If you have zone alarm and changed security settings recently.. might be the problem...

I think its port 443 that is blocked.. that is used for the https connection (secure connection)

This didn't work, oh well I'm on my second 6 pack and things aren't getting any better...so I'm off to the bar I will read this thread later(when I'm sober) and see if I can get it working
