Looking for work!

Hey guys I've decided to take a leave of absence from my "normal" job to have more time to take care of Ryan (Most of you know he was recently diagnosed with autism) So I much prefer working from home and being available when needed. He is in kindergarten this year so I do have enough time to work, it's just that my priorities have changed. I must admit it was a bitter sweet decision as I had reached my goal work wise and was where I wanted to be, but Ryan will always come first.

So with that said I'm looking for a job back in the biz, I've been working for almost 10 years and have experience in sales and marketing and just about anything...lol

Only thing is I won't relocate, but I have no problems attending shows.

Hit me up if you have anything :winkwink:

One thing I know you'd be good at, ever since our phone conversation many moons ago, is doing voice work in turning erotic text stories into audio.

One of the sexiest voices I've ever heard.

Good luck Funbrunette. My son has Autism as well (I am a single dad) and it was a huge adjustment as his needs will forever come first. It cost me a lot of work, money and sacrifice but it has been -- and always will be -- worth it, 100%.

CaptainHowdy 09-18-2008 09:15 AM

Thanks Zayne that's a beautiful post. The true expert on living with an autistic child is the parent(s). Only through daily living "in the trenches" can one truly know what life is like with the autistic child, but I wouldn't change it for the world! I swear if I had to start over I would want the same special little boy I have.

Thanks everyone for your good wishes! :winkwink:

The bottom line is, no one really knows for sure what causes autism. Most experts will say that autism is probably caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Even those experts, though, do not have a definite answer. For many people, this uncertainty is terribly frustrating. On the plus side, interest in and funding for autism research is on the rise, so new and better information should be forthcoming in the next months and years.

Your son is a gem sweetheart and the fact you want to start working from home to tend to his needs speaks highly... The little guy is lucky to have parents like you and Chris... even if he's evil sometimes (talking about Chris...) :thumbsup
