When the roll runs out, I replace it with the flap in the back (unrolls by the wall).

Every woman I have ever known in my life, from my sister, to girlfriends and female family members, replace it with the flap in the front. Toward the shitter.

Why?

easier to reach and tear off the thing because it's in the front

I'm just amazed when someone other than myself replaces the empty roll.

In the back for me

The roll is usually sitting on my bathroom sink. Man here, no women living in the house.

I'm the opposite. Flap in front. My gf drives me insane putting it in the back. How the fuck does that make sense?

That is how my analogy happens. I leave it on the sink. Then a bootie call, my sister, or gf will stop by and put the roll on the rack wrong.

I'm male and always used to put it towards the front when I used to use dry t.p.. But of course dry toilet paper is simply not suitable for the job it was originally designed for and I always use flushable wet t.p. from a container atop the tank which actually does get your backside clean.

I like the flap in the front. That way when bored I can fold the bottom parts in and pretend that I'm hoitey-toitey.

For some reason whenever the flap is towards the back, I have this urge to smack it from the bottom and see how far it will unroll.

in front for me, thats how it is in the charman commercial with the bears, so that has to be the right way

Same here, she puts new roll in backwards, I change it the moment I go to use the bathroom, we'd be using it like that and when we run out and she'd the one replacing it, she puts it in backwards again - flap in the back. Makes no sense.

The better question is, do you fold or crumple your toilet paper?

Hey I've noticed this myself. I roll from the back and you're right now that I think about it every single girl I've dated rolls it from the front. Crazy.

Has anyone ever pulled the cardboard apart in desperation when the paper runs out and used that instead? Not comfortable, but gets the job done.

And like ripped it into small triangles and had to scrape your ass like the card board was a corn chip and your ass was a near empty salsa bowl. Though every so often it gets soggy real quick and your finger hits the only poo you somehow missed and no matter how much you wash that hand it smells like shit for a few days?

Rufus' good toilet hygiene Manifesto:

1 - Always leave the toilet paper flap hanging in the front so that in the case of "Dirty Hands" the back cover of the toilet paper holder will not be contaminated.
2 - Wipe front to back so as to not contaminate genitals in case of "overload".
3 - If you use disposable wet towels, make sure you use the newer models which allow you to pull one at a time without having to open and close the dispenser with "contaminated" hands.
4 - Make sure you do not use "contaminated" areas on your hands, wrists and arms to turn on the water faucet and to dispense soap.

Thats the one I would have to say. The only thing that pisses me off is when I go into the bathroom and there is an empty roll less than one foot from the cabinet that has the toilet paper in it. It just irritates me when someone just leaves it empty.

There is the right way and the wrong way to hang it. The right way is, of course, with the flap at the back. The rest of y'all are crazy :)

I for one, get Charman. I do roll from the top, rather underneath. It works smoother instead of reaching for it and getting the roll to cooperate.

i dont like digging towards the back for the start of the roll, especially when im in the middle of wiping my ass..
