haha yep. I stumbled into a chat room on yahoo the other night and was amazed at how many people were running those chat bots to spam the chatroom with their avs girls. Was funny seeing that now that I'm an adultwebmaster and all.

i made an account on hotornot thinking it was a cool site and i didnt know how it worked. then like once a week i get these emails saying that girls want to meet me but you have to pay a monthly fee to do it. i'm not about to pay to get some girls email address even if she is hot.

LOL I just signed up for one and actually am having a ball with it. It's no different than going out into public or to a night club. You have to weed out the dysfunctional, deal with the drunks and discover everyones personal baggage before you meet someone nice.

I have also tried to use it to sell my site in another part of the country and it doesnt get a great response, the guys get pissed and turn you in for spam.

well, I never used a chatroom.... it was when MatchMaker.com first hit the Net..... you had to pay to put in a profile of yourself and browse other profiles, so it weeded out all the bullshit and fake users.... you could message anyone you found interesting. Turned out, she worked as an AVP for Bank of America just a few blocks from where I was working at the time. So we met, liked what we found, and now live on a tropical island. :glugglug

Pretty cool. I used to enter that chat room and stay there just reading and visiting other sites or studying HTML in another browser window. Then she sent me a private msg and started to chat. That time I was broke as hell... I was just 15. A few months later I travelled alone for the first time to go there met her.

Since then the phone company, the travel agency and the hotels/flats loves me.

I won't live in a tropical island, but I'm already in a tropical country. I've just to move to the city where she lives, I love there.

Yep, its great for people who are too busy or don't dig the bar / club scene. Another great place to meet is a museum. It kinda filters people by interest and outlook. I met the woman I'm currently dating at the Pacific Art Museum right across UC Berkeley. I wasn't even trying to pick up nor was she wanting to get picked up but we got into a heated debate about whether Rothko's art was really "Abstract Expressionist." Good thing La Strada italian coffee shop is a mere 20 yards away. :)
