Earlier somebody posted their new site for everyone to evaluate. mine is My little website

No I am not looking for hits, and 20 pop-ups won't appear. Just looking for a little feedback on what we have done since February.

Get rid of the intro, enter page, continue page...on the front page actually put a picture of the wife...you gotta show atleast 5 good quality pics for the customer so he knows what he is getting...

You don't even like the audio to the intro?

Besides of the whole site... this is just plain wrong too....

...members section, shitty 871625543211 tiny thumbs that load, fonts, colors, design....hell! Just get rid of the whole thing...Looks like some built the damn thing with "my first website builder" software.

Loads to slow, get rid of the intro, also there is only text on the intro so if you keep it put some images (dump it anyway), boys wana see pics.

Optimize the site for 800x600 as well, on 1024x768 it's fine.

Too many font types, too much text.

Background is ugly.

Finally after you enter there are frames, noisy banners and again too much text - it gives the filling of an amateur site but it's too amateur it's like the first adult sites...

I am sorry but I hope this will help to build a better site :thumbsup

Well.. you got your own STYLE ;-)

1 - The audio is not good.. the surfer cant surf at work it there is sound on the page...
2 - Dident want to look at the pics... the intro and the rest of the confusing design made me want to run away... get rid of all the crap, and post some pice... people dont want intros.. they want porn....
3 - Great design dont come overnight... make small corrections every day... and remember to update OFTEN !!!
4 - Have a plan with you desigm.. "before you design - decide"
Show os what you got, ad remove all the crap

Are you all seriously forgetting the first web site you ever built. Why don't we stick to the constructive stuff and leave the slams for the children. I mean it takes a lot of guts to come in here and ask for help and you guys just slammed her.

clean it up a lot... and ditch the intro, we know why we're there.

lose all the fonts and colors, it looks like a high school webpage project your kid did about his mommy's swinging life...

and put up a few decent pics, not 8 million dots that you pass off as pics...

THEN come back and let us se it.. but try to poist it in the "newbie" section Webmaster Q & Fuckin' A is the section called

Uuuuuggg. It's kinda hard to ignore 95% saying to "dump it" and don't ever try again, lol..

You got here some good advice, use it...
Also I recommend you looking on some other private amateur sites and see what others have made, don't copy just get a better picture about how to design, when to use text, when to use images etc...

no they dident.. .they just chose to "forget" ... its like the old guys brag about how strong they were when they were young.. every year they add 5 pounds to what they could benchpress.
Like i said.. WORK with it... get your own idear and go with that...

Your site isnt too bad, I bet people will join it cause its very amateurish looking, I would lose some of the video length, might cost you big in the long run, sharing 10 8mb movies can be costly

It's a memory hog. Too much info, graphics, tables and frames crammed on to one page. Use animated graphics, especially gifs, sparingly. Take some time to surf other sites yourselves.


Don't get discouraged by this response. You have asked for a review from the toughest possible critics. Most of the guys and gals on this board run multiple sites. They see hundreds of sites and designs daily. And not one of them told you to go fuck yourself...consider that a victory of sorts. :1orglaugh

p.s - get rid of the exit pop-up asking to sign the guestbook. Use it for a toplist or something.

Everybody loves Flash but the surfer. I don't even have to see or hear it. Get rid of it because it will automatically cause a large part of the surfer population to hit their BACK button.

Now that I've seen the site, leave the Flash. :Oh crap
