What do you think of those multi-vitamins?
10 tablets/day, most complete i found
http://www.gnhealthyliving.com/scrip...?idproduct=325 yet,i'm afraid it maybe too much? Do you think they actually multi-vitamins improve the health of a person? I read an article in the past that our body don't utilize them properly, but it didn't make much sense to me. |
i have 1 a day and don't really notice a difference in my mental state.
|
Man, ask any 80 year old whose still putzing around if the secret to their longevity is "multivitamins" and observe the clueless look on their face..
Eat a fucking carrot. |

this one i use |
i need a good chewable...anyone?
|
10/day sounds a little rough on the kidneys. Your body doesn't even utilize all that is in a standard 1 a day multivitamin.

I've been taking Now Adam for men lately. Probably the best I've used.
http://www.nowfoods.com/?action=item...&item_id=13700 10 sounds pretty extreme. |
Socks, carrot covered by a pill:
Vitamin A (acetate, 33% Beta carotene & 33% Carotenoids) 5000 IU Vitamin B6 102 mg Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid, Ascorbyl palmitate....) 1200 mg seriously now,i know what you mean. My question is related to improving someone's weak health and not seeking anti-aging miracles. |
No clue if it helps or not but i still take a daily multi vitamin.
|
i take this http://www26.netrition.com/now_adam_page.html
|
yes,10 tablets/day seems fucked up.
also I noticed the one i posted are way overpriced compared to the UI/mg with the products you did. |
Can't hurt to supplement your regular diet with a daily multi-vitamin.
Natural source is the way to go. (meaning, if you're going to take multi-vitamins, buy the kind that are made from natural source) (Not all of them are) |
Seems like the only three recommendations here have been for Now - Adam.

I only take vitamins when I'm sick. Normally, eat some fruits and vegetables, its healthier and better for you.

I've gone with the longevity expensive vitamin plans and lots of bottles of different stuff and all...... and at other times in my life took no vitamins at all...
and to tell you the truth, I think the very best I have felt is when taking no vitamins, but conciously making up for it by eating as healthy and varied as possible.... dark green vegetables, fish a couple times a week, whole grains and flaxes, whole different variety of rices, beans, fruit, etc.... the answer is the best is eating good food, not vitamin pills |
I used to take multivitamins every day. I haven't for 6 months now, but I heat healthy. I haven't been sick at all.
|
I need to start taking those.
|
it's dog sh**, eat properly.
|
if you work out alot or exercise it helps, but if you sit on your ass all day doing nothing it's no use. the 1 per day vitamins are good.

in addition to that I also take a lot of vitamin C, E, lysine & coq10 |
Am I reading this right? $136.76 for 30 day supply?
|
lol woj,yeah, overpriced
|
You will do nothing but achieve very expensive urine...
While vitamins are healthy for you, taking over 100% of certain vitamins is detrimental to your body. B 12 vitamins you can take all you want though...all depends on what molecules your putting into your body and what your body can process |
That's wildly overpriced... poke around vitacost.com or gotbody.com & you'll find a comparable multi for like, $20. Though there's really no reason to get 2000% of any of those nutrients.
I take multivitamins and I notice a HUGE difference in my skin clarity & texture. They're good for supplementing a poor/incomplete diet. |
