Dress Code question
this is for the execs on the board
ok so the wife and I are going to see the Las Vegas Philharmonic tonight as they perform "the music of led zepplen" now here is my question... ive never been to a philharmonic before do I wear suit and tie? is it formal event? were sitting front row so I don't wanna be the couple sitting in jeans if everyone else is in suits.... |
Get a suite.. its not some "pop concert" id say..
|
I don't know that a tie would be necessary, but I would for sure wear slacks, button down and a jacket.
Sounds like an interesting event. Enjoy. |
yeah I have many many suits just wondering if now is the time.... you know like the slow clap... gotta make sure... at the same time I I may end up looking like hahaha at the shows
|
Probably a blazer and nice pants would be good
|
Always better to be overdressed then underdressed.
|
Suit you don't have to wear a tie.. but if you wear ties wear a tie..
|
Definitely time to break out a suit, man.
Jeans would probably make you feel under-dressed, if you're concerned about such things. Black tie (while perhaps overdoing it, imho) would probably be more in-line with the dress code than jeans and a polo shirt. Personally, I'd wear a suit and tie to the event while escorting my lady in a cocktail dress and jacket (assuming it's close to "chilly"). edit: and, if you decide you'd rather ditch the tie later on, it's always easier to remove one and stick it in your jacket's pocket than it is to put one on in the men's bathroom... :2 cents: |
Just turn up naked! Create an impression :)
|
I strongly suggest NOT to wear jeans,
You can do more of a sporty suit and I believe even tie isn't all that neccessary, but no jeans, no trainers, and colour combination in place.. (may sound weird from someone with my current avatar, but I do actually wear suit a lot) |
D
great answer man... my next question is going to be Im assuming with a philharmonic ill be sitting the whole time so a suit would be proper theres going to be no dancing and what not... sorry if I sound like a retard on this... keep in mind im the type of person ive seen a band like bad religion 57 times in my life.. so philharmonics are not something I'd usually go to but the wife's fav band is led zep and yesterday was our anniversary so here I sit LOL asking gfy who what when where and why LOL |
yeah would definetely recommend a suit, tie may be optional depending on your own preferences...
|
Well Vegas is a crazy place but I really DO assume there won't be no standing, no shouting, no cell phone ringing, no whistling.
The only moment you could actually stand up is to express the thanks to the philharmonians after the show is finished. I wish to have a wife with Led Zeppelin as a favourite band btw., that's an immediate turn on.. |
