Webair, this is so crappy

It's been a couple of months since I got my webair account. I was happy with it, the downtimes weren't bugging me at all for the price, and I was happy to see that I could order addon IPs fpr $1,5 a pop. Great I've thought.....great? Wrong!

The hassle started with the first payment for my extra IP. It seemed to be pretty uncomfortable to pay each month manually, so I asked to pay for a whole year. "No, this can't be done, it has to be paid every month". Aright then...it's not very convinient but ok.

The next month I was waiting for the payment link for epassporte but I wasn't recieving it. I've emailed support to ask for their epass id. The response was a payment link for this month "Thanks for using webair!!!" ..but no epass id.

It eventually happend, that I' missed making a payment because epass decided to not reveal their id. I've emailed support and told them about the payment problem and got 2 payment links...paid them both and used one of them the next month....went thru ....OK...so all I have to do is to use one of their payment links and the sale will come thru, right?

Wrong!

This month I've paid for my IP and still got a payment link ...but 2 weeks later.
I was slowly but surely loosing it with webair and told them that they had to either reveal their epass, or manually account my payments..I told them, that I've already paid.

You would expect an email like "We're sorry, we didn't see that you actually paid us..this was an error on our side, we will now send payment links on time, or if you'd like pay us directly epass id xyz", right? Wrong!

All I got was a response from "liz" with exactly the same content "payment link http://www..." Thanks for choosing Webair!"

Are you fucking kidding me webair? What kind of joke is this...I'm a very very patient customer, but I don't accept you playing stupid games.

Well, I thought they'd find my payment but I was wrong...it still shows 1.5$ unpaid..and here's the kicker....it's an invoice for the month of february...wtf do you expect me to do? To pay for two, three..maybe 4 times?!

Whatever. Just checked my blog network. All sites are down for that Ip in question.

This is insane.

Maybe someone from webair reads this thread and leaves his or her contact email so I can get this shit sorted because it's beyond crazyness that a customer has to constantly beg to pay.

My sites are now back up...no idea if this was actually related to the payment problem. But the payment problem is still unsolved.

Jon Clark - BANNED FOR LIFE 03-25-2008 08:32 AM

Take your business to techiemedia.net and never, ever, ever have this problem again..... Ever!

Tell them I sent you and maybe get a better deal!

xiaomaster 03-25-2008 08:33 AM

Zuss, I think addon IP is 2$ each month! How can you get it for just 1.5$???

For a cheap price, I can tolerate "issues"..,but this is just ridiciolous.

I was confused as well. They told me it's 1,5$...I don't mind,

Chris 03-25-2008 09:45 AM

yea every month ive had to ask them for an epassporte link to pay them

waste 03-25-2008 09:54 AM

just change hosts man there's enough of them out there, go talk to doug at quik-host.com or jim at techiemedia.net, tell them Waste from IronPath sent you over your sure to get a good deal. I've dealt with only these 2 companies for the past 8 years and never have issues with downtime and doug normally gives away IP's as long as you can justify it.

Was just on the Webair website about to sign up, this is the exact kind of shit that I was trying to avoid by switching hosts.

We don't want to know that you'll take care of it -- we know you'll take care of it now that it's been posted publicly and others are reading it.

Please Webair, tell us WHY you feel that it's important to give this guy the run around like that, no what you'll do to fix it but WHY the problem came up in the first place. I'm so fucking sick of hosts saying one thing and doing another.

It's an automated system... your talking about 1 ip...zuss hit me up ill give you the ip and a few more if you need them...just contact your customer service rep instead of posting all of this here and it would have been handled much quicker...Help me help you! =)

It looks like he WAS doing that and getting no help. Why? And then why come on here and tell him to do exactly what he had been doing in the post, did you even read it? Maybe instead of not reading it and then just writing something like 'liz' is obviously doing you can take a little time out of your day and help your customer out.

What a joke!

Zuss 03-26-2008 01:48 AM

So it's an automatic system? I'm only recieving payment links if I ask for them and honestly: I don't have the time an/or nerves to beg every month for payment details.

I have already contacted support SEVERAL times with no definate answer, but I'll happily try it again.

and once again: It's not about extra ips, it's about paying for them.

@moeloubani
Thanks for your support!

Zuss 04-05-2008 03:58 AM

LOL..this is funny beyond belief!!
Just got a new invoice for my yearly payment and asked for a payment link. I alos adressed the IÜ issue and told support, that I have already payed for this ip......guess what I got as an answer:

"########## Begin Message ##########
https://www.epassporte.com/secure/[...paymentlink]&amount=1.50
Thanks,

mr.K© 04-05-2008 07:28 AM

i got fucked over by webair also. Plugged my sites because my virtual account pulled to much resources: however they couldn't tell me which script/process caused problems. Took me 3 weeks to get my data back, but they couldn't get my sql data back: they had no backup of that. I still get mad everytime i read webair. :321GFY

i pay less then that over at www.exmasters.com :winkwink:
17 additional IP´s for a flatfee of $20/month.. cant beat that, can you?

Iron Fist 04-05-2008 09:08 AM

Funny thing is I asked my provider for 5 additional IPs recently, and even though it took them a week, they just added them to my account... for free. Solid uptime, never a billing issue - http://www.colo-cation.com (yes - no ref link, they are that good, but don't take my word for it - seriously.)

GrouchyAdmin 04-05-2008 09:13 AM

It's really not funny. In fact, it's annoying as hell - but I still smirked. Sorry man, sometimes it is just impossible to get things smoothed out. Maybe you can send a wire.

qxm 04-05-2008 09:23 AM

$2 a month? shit so the virtual acc I have (with other company) which offered me extra IPs for $19 a year was giving me a bargain?..........dam........gotta go back and take it!
