You may recall a year or so ago I spotted a family of raccoons living in one of the trees along side my house.

A couple months ago I had that tree trimmed way back, so it is essentially just branches, and no foliage. I guess I kind of hoped that this would make them homeless and they would move on to live elsewhere.

Well, if they left, they are back. And I guess that since they no longer have the tree to play around in they decided that my roof would suffice.

All night long these rodents were chasing each other around on my roof, and in the process, driving my dog nuts, which resulted in very little sleep for me.

Now I need to decide whether to risk arrest by shooting them, or taking out the dog.

Even had an issue with raccoons? How did you get rid of them?

did you try calling the police?

Pretty sure I contacted Torrance about this last year. They wanted me to trap them and wanted to charge me for the traps or something.

I have some visit the yard every so often.they dig through the grass looking for grubs.I went out one night for a smoke and 2 big bastards just looked at me and continued on their business.
I had a family of 3 skunks running around at one time.one time one ran right up to me and stood 2 feet away from me and started scratching the ground..I just slowly backed off lol.
They eventually will move on unless there is some food source they have there

It is funny. A couple weeks ago some door-to-door salesman came to my house. I think he was selling security systems or something.

When I told him I wasn't interested he asked if we had any Mexican families in the neighborhood (I guess they are an easy sell or something).

I don't know if he was more surprised or saddened when I told him, "none that I am aware of."

Traps dude!! I delt with that a long time ago. Humane traps, with bacon for bait. catch one a day and relocate the to Polos Verde's. It is that easy.. Did 8 in 8 days. I told my friend the same thing, he caught 3 in 3 days.

I feel your pain. Even though pidgeons aren't as noisy or nocturnal, they are a pain in the arse. I think that you need to find what their natural enemy is and buy one of those. Maybe they have some sort of tack stripping you could put down, or you could buy another tree for them to nest in. Just a couple of ideas. I bought a pellet gun and shoot the pidgeons. It won't harm the balance with those rats with wings like it will with racoons. Good luck with getting rid of those furry little bastards.

Try putting rags doused with ammonia on the roof, they hate the smell of that.

Coons loved tearing up my trashing and spreading everything out into my immaculate paddocks. That is until I started shooting them with CCI stingers. They have yet to return. :thumbsup

I tried that the other night. They just climbed further up the tree and tormented him . . . which I am sure was really appreciated by my neighbors.

We took their home.

Just humanely trap them and release them to a natural environment. No sense in killing them with poison.

And I have to laugh at the idea of releasing them. I have a feeling that they are not going to be very friendly when it comes to opening the cage to let them out.

I don’t know, their is suddenly lots of them in downtown areas in Cail, what I did was feed them bananas and tuna fish. Oh ya you have to name them too, my Fav was named Freddie.

Well one day my neighbor was taking out the trash really late at night, as she came around the corner she saw Freddie and began to scream “Rat” and running around downstairs. Lucky Freddie took off like a bandit and they never cought him. :)

If you think about it the coons belong their more than U or your cats and dogs, yall are the invaders. I say leave them alone and deal with it Bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually have one in the garage. Maybe that is why they are hanging out.
