WOW, Smirnoff vodka is so much better than cheap stuff.
I don't drink much vodka but I got a couple of bottles over the last few months and went for the cheap stuff.
Damn, I decided I hated vodka! I knew smirnoff was decent because I had it before many years ago so decided to get some tonight. What a world of difference. That other stuff should be banned. |
Smirnoff is the cheap stuff.
|
Scandinavian vodka is like shit (but still better than polish or french)
Nothing can beat Russian or Ukranian vodka. |
I like Grey Goose better
|
yeah Smirnoff is the cheap stuff lol, what is it like 12 bucks a liter or something?
|
Smirnoff vodka = cheap stuff
You probably overpaid |

Chopin, Belevedere and Grey Goose (I like them best in that order personaly) are the 3 best Vodka.
Smirnoff isn't bad, but it's considered cheap stuff. |

But not as cheap as can be gotten!!! Ever hear of McCormick or Kamchatka :1orglaugh:1orglaugh I was going there dude. Hell, I know Absolute is good but it makes me sleepy. I don't like Greygoose at all though. |
There is a vodka made here in the northwest called Crater Lake vodka. It is about the same price as absolut and is very good.

Okay, yeah, if you are comparing it to the Walmart brand you normally get I am sure it is a step up for you.

Just didn't think of it at the time. I drink vodka very little and not really for a long time. But when I drank it more I remember Stoli being real good. |

If you're getting the cheap stuff, at least get Moskovskaya.

overlooked it. I'll give it a try some day. |

I'm in over my head when drinking vodka period so trying something that sounds like a local brand that's popular in Russian might be a bad idea. |

Shit makes me sick..wouldnt drink it if it were free |
Ever heard of Popov or Vladimir? Now that's some cheap stuff. Smirnoff is the cheap stuff as well. I'd like to get some Grey Goose sometime soon.
|
I have owned several bars and I can speak with some knowledge of this.
Smirnoff is the world's largest selling vodka by a wide margin; in addition, Smirnoff frequently wins best tasting vodka competitions. |
Out of the cheap stuff Smirnoff isn't terrible if you're just mixing it. I wouldn't make a martini with it. If they have Svedka, go with that. It's usually around $14. Or go crazy and pick up Finlandia, around here it runs less than $20.
I'm not a big fan of any of the French vodka I've had. |
I love Grey Goose :)

generally, vodka is a cheap drink, so don't bother with the price... |

Stolichnaya Elite is the best vodka in the world.

I enjoy vodka when made with potatoes. Mmm.
|
Smirnoff vodka is the best broo
|
Why do Russians make the best vodka?
Why do they drink a bottle a day? |
Hard for me to be into a beverage that gauges how good it is by how much taste it lacks.
The perfect vodka is perfectly tasteless... seems I could better spend my time enjoying flavors other than "nothing." |
When I drank I prefered Smirnoff Blue over other more expensive Vodkas....
|
Alpha Noble and Grey Goose are the way to go :thumbsup Both are so called "ultra-premium-vodkas":pimp

I guess everything is relative. |
I always thought "Grey Goose" was pure marketing? Is it really any good, or do people just say that it is good because they've been told that it is good?
|
Grey Goose is actually a decent vodka, but with a fuckload of good marketing. See if you can catch some interviews w/ the owner, really switched on guy.
Smirnoff is an 'expensive' bottle? looooool. you baller, you. |
smirnoff is cheap vodka what are you talking about

I mean they add up to a whole pint. And to think I drank that much over just a few months. Oh heavens, I better cut back. |

Years ago I remember hearing how he bought several brands. I remember hearing that he started supplying Grey Goose to all the "stars" and all their limos for free. He wanted it to be seen by the general public as the drink of the rich and famous (I think). Seems like a smart guy, with a lot of money. |

Solution to your "drinking problem" - - - - - Next time you buy two bottles, send one to me. You won't be sorry! Well, at least I will tell you that you won't be sorry. |

10 mixed drinks. Geeze! Where the fuck are you from? :1orglaugh In the US you can buy small bottles that fit into your pocket. The mini bottle is one drink. The half pint is about 4-5 drinks. Both fit into your pocket. |
Anyone every tried the canadian vodka called ICE.
It's pretty good actually. I'm still a grey goose fan tho. |
In America Grey Goose is the cheap stuff too compared to what we pay here. Thats my fav Vodka but over here I pay $80-$85 a litre.
Its worth it tho, I can't get enough of the stuff. Its cool to have a nice bottle sitting when playing Poker :) Smirnoff here is around $25 a litre I think. In the USA Smirnoff is $25 for the 1.75 litre bottle hehe. We bought a couple of them in Florida last year for making cocktails in the Villa while chilling out during the day. Then the Grey Goose was kept for night time! |

Must be consumed ice cold and you should also eat with it, like salmon, other fish or any meat works very well with it, in this way, if you drink really premium stuff you don't risk hangover. I mean, it's the same as with whisky, if I am in the States I can get good bourbon that's way more drinkable than anything you buy in Europe - it's the same thing, there are not many people around here who would really appreciate quality, so why would you bother selling them anything that's costly to produce? |

no, did you try Ketel One vodka? |
