Bourbon is my real drink. I can drink the cheapest US bourbon with no
problem.

I'm not claiming that anyone else would like cheap US whiskey but it's fine
with me. I can drink them all straight up and like it.

I can drink all the bourbon I want and never get stupid, but if it were
vodka, tequilla, rum, gin or scotch, then haul ass away from me!!!
I drank vodka one time and saw a knife fight and snatched the knife out
of the guys hand. FUCK THAT SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I even have the impression it's not as much about the amount of the alcohol the drink has in it as if you are used to it.

I had a mate from England who was able to do 12 Jack Daniels shots and you could still have a sensible chat with him, then I took him to explore with me the wild east.

Well, he got wasted so intensely I had to carry him, dress him, put him to the bed, make sure he pukes the right direction etc.

He was just not used to the thing.

Same results would happen with me I'm sure.

I don't need much vodka, gin etc... to get stupid, but it would
take about half a liter of whiskey to get even close to that stupid.

I stick to whiskey when I go to a bar.
I get nice and toasty and no problems with anyone.

If I drank vodka or tequilla at the bar I would be "86ed" from every bar I ever went to.
Too bad other people don't realize these things about themselves and keep
drinking shit that don't mix with them. They get kicked out of every bar and
all they need to do is change their drink.

fatfoo 03-02-2008 03:24 PM

sexykat 03-02-2008 03:27 PM

Hanger One, Chopin, Belvedere, Grey Goose

GrouchyAdmin 03-02-2008 03:28 PM

If Smirnoff is the good stuff, you've lead a sheltered, cheap life.

Nope. Just 50% more for the same stuff in the cheaper bottles.

The cheaper stuff consistently out-performs the premium vodkas in taste tests. People are just paying for the baller status.

Drake 03-02-2008 05:37 PM

Nearly OD'd on Vodka in college. Haven't been able to touch a bottle of it since.

Totaly true. Grey Goose finishes last in blind taste test so many times
it's a disgrace.

But if you tell the tasters the price before they taste it then magically
Grey Goose finishes much better. :1orglaugh

"It cost more so it must be good!"

BWAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Sosa 03-02-2008 07:39 PM

OG LennyT 03-02-2008 07:56 PM

Good vodka should be tasteless.

ultimatebbwdotcom 03-02-2008 08:16 PM

if the bottle is 1.5 liters and plastic, it wont be good.
