Do foreigners care as much about American Football as we do about soccer..or..
Do foreigners care as much about American Football as we do about soccer, or do they actually like our Football.
Ever been to an American Soccer game? The stadiums are never full and 90% of the audience is foreign. No offense, but soccer is sucks. ... I said "No offense" |
I agree and I am not offended :)
|
Nope, the rest of the world couldn't care less about American football. What cracks me up are the Europeans who feel the need to remind us that nobody cares but us. We know. We just don't care that you don't care. We hate soccer. Do Europeans really care that we think it's a stupid sport? They seem to.
|
Not sure but they care about the Super Bowl according to tv stats.

I always used to watch the Superbowl when in England. NFL got really popular for a while, I dunno if the interest has died out.
Mind you an Indian sport called Kabbadi got popular for a while too, and that was one sad sport. |
soccer is for twinks ........

It's only America which doesn't like soccer, and claim football is much better. So is EVERYONE else in the world wrong ? :) Just accept you people like your game, and we (the rest of the world) :winkwink: all like ours. Peace... :pimp |
Sounds like you're the foreigner.. Soccer is sucks? lolz..
That's not even a typo, that's what you meant to write heh |

I'll be watching the super bowl tonight, it's the only football game of the year I watch. I don't know anything about the two teams playing.
Shrug, it's always a fun party atmosphere so why not? |
Americans like Football just because it is similar to Roman gladiators. Not one person I know has ever talked to a football player and no one I know plays it as adult. It is just a show is all.
Soccer or football of the world is more a cultural thing. People actually play it. Sort fo explains why one does not like the other. It is a huge cultural thing. |

Europeans have only one major sport, while Americans have three (Basketball, Baseball, Football).

The difference is Europeans take their sports much more seriously, Americans like going for a day out a bbq and some whoppers in the stands. Go to a football match in Europe you can hardly hear from the songs and noise from the crowd. At a baseball/nfl match with xxx,xxx fans is as quiet as a sunday league match here with 1,000 fans. |

I like a good sporting match no matter what country or what type of sport.

Nobody gives shit about american football outside of the US.

Football is by far number one sport in the US. Its Basketball and baseball after that.. In Europe It all depends on what you good at. In Scandinavia/Czech/Russia its Hockey. I know Dutch go crazy about speed skating. Scandinavians like skiing.. |
I dont watch American Football or Soccer I prefer A real mans sport called Rugby:winkwink:

American football became a fad in the UK in the late 80'/early 90's then we got that European league thing. I used to watch the highlights so I got a basic grasp of the rules but obviously not the finer details.
Now Ive got the Superbowl on here now and I think its probably the first time Ive ever seen an actual live game and Im astounded at the stop start nature of the game and the amount of ad breaks. So maybe it isnt the actual sport but the difference in cultures? As I mentioned I watched highlights years ago where you didnt get all the ads and it seemed ok, but this is a little harder to digest. |

You know what I can't stand is "turn-based" sports... Football and baseball. It's like "ok, we're going to play for 8 seconds, just hold on.... ok GO!" then 8 seconds of action then "ok, time for a 30 second break". Any game that the players actually play for extended periods of time gets my respect... Hockey, soccer, basketball.

i tried watching the superbowl once, but every 30 seconds it stopped. that is not on. Its also why I dont like cricket and thats a very british sport.
but redshore, i agree with your statement and that europeans could not give a fuck about american football as much as you hate soccer. personally i love soccer simply because of the ease of playing and rules. Any bonehead could pick it up and be able to afford to play it properly. the rules are simple, dont use your hands, put the ball in the net. its like music, im not going to hate on someone for liking some other genre, simply because its opinionated. Theres no no.1 sport thats the "best" However most popular is soccer, so hey i guess thats the best ;) |
I don´t even know the american football rules.
If someone think that one sport sucks and another is great, then he has mental problems, it´s something really stupid that way of thinking. |
