because they wanted webmasters to have to make a snap decision on this without having sufficient time to research alternatives. That way there's not much anyone can do except pay the extortion fee and continue to pay processing fees for nothing, when instead, if they'd had time, they could have possibly pursued their own merchant account and been set up properly.

But I don't think they were counting on Globill not joining the *good ol boys club* with them, and that threw yet another monkey wrench into the master plan.

if you have a paysite with ccbill and you already have 100-200-1000 members you dont want to lose the rebills by change prosesor , so even if they give us more time we will continue to work with them for keep the rebbils

Something to think about: In the short time I have watched this segment of the adult industry, I have learned that 90% of adult businesses would rather screw people to make a buck than treat them well. Sad. but hard to deny. I am not 100% convinced that the billers fall outside that 90%... Not that I am sure they are screwing us, but, well... who knows.

I too think we should have been given more time, and that the billers could have negotiated a setup that didn't screw so many people* so badly. Not that they did nothing, but hey, they get their chunk of the fees, and pass the pressure on to us 100%. Also, I still don't have an official email from CCBill... why didn't something go out to *everyone* as soon as this was finalized?

how much do you make on those 100-1000 monthly rebills? sounds like it'd be more than $62.50 ($750/12) and surely more than $29.16 (next year).

Let me put it another way. I read this board. I have a number of friend who won't know about it until they check their email and hear it from *me*. Let's hear it for customer support. I know the billers must be swamped today, but couldn't someone have sent out an email to all the webmasters? When is it coming?

This morning the message was posted, if you check reports.ccbill.com, you will see a pop-up explaining what is going on and a link to the FAQs. The email should go out later tonight or tomorrow.

We will make sure that ALL of our webmasters know about this right away...we didn't have as much time as we would have liked to have had

It is true that we have known about these rules for several months. If you have ever seen rules in regs. from Visa they are just as clear as mud. For the last several months we have been just trying to get them to clarify them. Visa was not even sure how they were going to handle them. Even as of today we are still trying to clarify several other issues that are in the rules. These are all behind the scenes issues on just how we are supposed to, report to them, send the data, check the TMF files, get accounts approved, pay them, etc.. The rules just said what no how.

Waaa waaa waaa, macro. Perhaps you should ask any of our webmasters how they are treated when they have questions or issues with SIC. I can assure you that to a one they will tell you they get quick and accurate responses and all the help they could possibly ask for.

All this crying and whining about Visa is ridiculous, and I will continue to say it.

Having to blindly pay $750+ is certainly ridiculous.

These new regulations aren't going to solve the problems. A lot of the big guys will continue to find new unethical ways to scam and use smoke and mirrors billing tactics.


So why should I pay that money to one of the "big 3" when it is those companies that have let all the scamming and what not continue for years to cause a need for more regulation.

I have a friend in the USA. I pay him 750, he registers his Social Security with Visa. CCBILL gets the a-ok from VISA,

However the Checks still go to me in Canada. Or doe the NON Visa Checks go to me and the Visa Checks go to my usa friend?
