$1,000,000 stats - $60/sale from revshare

I took a screenshot of my stats with just over $1,000,000 in sales. I made $1,005,098 in just 9774 joins. That is almost $103 per sale. At 60% revshare that is over $60 per sale.

I still think if you know how to market a site correctly recurring money is the best option. Good product = good business! :2 cents:

Recurring revenue is the best way to go. It always has been as long as the program you are pushing isn't a rip-off.

Teenpinkvideos.com is one of those programs. It's always done very well for me recurring wise.

I checked out your stats. You should give it more of a chance. I have had galleries that go 0:5000 or 0:10,000 but after a month the same gallery might be around 1:1000. It takes many galleries to get a solid average. Instead of making your own galleries you can skip the trial and error and just use my hosted galleries. I will not talk about your numbers on the board but I think you should give us a better chance. If you want to talk you can always email me.

This is one of the reasons I started this thread. Webmasters need to TAKE THEIR TIME and set a plan and see it through. Too many webmasters try things like a revshare program for 3-4 months and quit or just jump from program to program. Patience is needed in this business. If you stick with something then it can pay off. You just need to analyze the traffic you send and make adjustments. Changing programs is not a small adjustment... it is MAJOR change. Something needs to be very wrong to change from a sponsor. Many of the old time webmasters stick with the same old sponsors and never change because that really is a HUGE change.

Each site is a little different to market. If you keep jumping around then you will never learn how to best sell a certain site. If you just use hosted galleries then that is different. The sponsors should know how to sell their sites and those galleries should work. But if you are making your own sales pages then it does take trial and error. You should also contact the sponsor for advice. All good programs are willing to help and their advice can make a huge difference.

I am glad you liked it.

I am always reading business magazines and books to see what others have done and that helps motivate me. My wife hates it but I tell her it is for work because it motivates me and helps make us more money so she seems to be ok with it now as long as I don't over do it. Alot of the time you just need to get work done and skip the reading.

Curious, any weakening in conversions or ratios over the past six months? Seems like a lot of doom and gloom over the tube sites and bittorrent lately.

They seem to be fine. I think tube sites might affect tgps more in late 2008 and 2009. I know everyone is going crazy over this but I think it is going to take some time. Some things need to happen first. If tube sites find a way to be more profitable then you will see a major shift in traffic. There needs to be more tube sites to make an impact but you won't see alot of new tube sites because of the startup cost. TGPs have almost no startup cost but tube sites carry a huge bandwidth bill. If some large companies figure out how to profit from tube sites then they will have the ability to grab massive traffic.

I don't think this will affect the paysite model too much because tube sites need paysites to survive. They can't survive just on webcam and dating sponsors... well maybe in the short term over the next year or two but these ads will get oversaturated and become over priced for the sponsors which will eventually put pressure to lower ad rates. They will need many more fresh sponsors to push demand for ad space up to get the most out of their ad spots and this means need to be friendly to paysites so they can become sponsors.

By being frindly to paysites means to control the content they post. If tube sites start posting too many full videos or increase their quality then it can hurt the industry over the short term. Only the smart tube sites and the strong paysites will survive. In the long term only profitable businesses will always win. Giving everything away for free IN THIS BUSINESS never works.

I posted a thread about this and how it might really kill the amateur market. People who look for amateur porn usually like the bad quality home style videos and that is exactly what tube sites will have. Time will tell.

So I think tube sites will change this industry for the good and bad. In the long term I think it will end with major consolidations and push out alot of smaller webmasters.

For smaller webmasters all I can say is... SPECIALIZE! find your little corner in this business where you can specialize in something and go to work.

Congratulations; your earnings are definitely motivating! :)
I will make sure to read your story, and learn a thing or two.

V_RocKs 01-11-2008 12:31 AM

I haven't noticed less traffic or weaker conversions since tubes... or torrents.

TheSenator 01-11-2008 12:37 AM

Just read http://adultmillionaire.com/

I followed that path all the way to AVS. I made a killing when AVS was the shit. I made so much that I wouldn't work for an enite summer and taking weeks off at a time.

Looking back I should have worked some more and re-invest my money into the biz.

Live and learn... Although, I can't complain now.

DaddyHalbucks 01-11-2008 12:52 AM

Congrats Man!

Looks like there is money in porn, after all.
