How to protect yourself from check join chargeback??
 

just noticed that I have few of those this year and it looks like its easier than using someones credit card. :mad:

You can't chargeback ACH except by signing an affidavit with the bank; if you're getting several, look for affiliates and combinations of similarities, then ban the affiliate for fraud. I've never seen an ACH 'chargeback.'

Otherwise, it 'just happens', and since ACH takes time to settle, your only way around that for sure is setting up a different ACH join option and setting it NET45 or something.

got inital charge as "cb" and rebill that came after that.

CCBill is kind of fucked up in how it works: CCBill does an instant post to your system for a purchase so people who paid for the porn are allowed to view it within seconds. Rebills are polled later via a script, rather than posted to you, as, say, NetBilling works. Sometimes they'll CB an initial and you'll still show a rebill, due to the automatic/polling nature of the system - it's not sync'd.

The way it came as a CB is that it takes like 3 days for ACH to settle; if someone's overdrawn between initial and actual charge date, it will bounce as a credit, but it may show as a CB. I'm not familiar how you're polling.

Use WTS. You don't get charged unless you get paid so at the very most you've lost some bandwidth while they played in your site. Plus WTS has their own inhouse collections which is pretty aggressive so if someone decides to have a bad check/say it was fraud/etc. they get pretty tough with them. :thumbsup

I tell ya man, I HATE online checks. I get bounces all the time. Its the nature of the beast. I look over everyone and if one looks suspicious i just deactivate it. Thats the best way. Also keep notes of whos frauding you. ip, usernames, emails, etc. you will find more often than not its the same deadbeat. I get alot of bounced checks on my ebony sites. i find that interesting.
