Damn $2 per click for google advertising...

Ok so I have not done any google advertising for over a year but from what I remember I only paid 5 cents per click and got tons of good traffic. Now everyday when I log-in to my google adwords account it says "some of your terms are inactive must increase bid to $X.XX" these are terms that do not even have ANY competition. Why am I paying on average 64 cents per click, that is just robbery if you ask me.

You kind of answered your own question... thing is "I only paid 5 cents per click and got tons of good traffic." means Google figured that out and says "those clicks are worth way more than 5 cents..." and fixed it. You think buying certain keywords for months on end wouldn't be noticed?

:2 cents:Yes, now you have to also SEO your landing pages to match your keywords. Plus, don't even get me started on typos, alternative spellings, etc.

I even spent 3 hrs. on the phone one day with the rep trying to figure out how to get my bids in on a site that was completely done in flash. Damm quality robot:error could only see the RTA, 2257 on the page:Oh crap and wanted $5-15 per click.

Quality Score is more important than ever. Who would have ever thought organic SEO now matters for PPC listings.

Were you able to find a workaround for your flash based site?

Where is that will76 guy when you need him. Google needs to rip him off so he opens his loud mouth and makes some noise about this. I really feel ripped off. I have always had such good experiences with google until this week. I feel like they are getting to that point where we cant trust them anymore. I also do not like that they are trying to compete with wikipedia, thats gonna be a horrible project and just shows google is all about that advertisng money and could careless about the well being of the internet.

Whats the deal with google anyways? Im just gonna use yahoo now, its just as good and I probably trust them more than I do google now.
