HOSTING: Dedicated Servers. Fire Away

I had recently purchased a new video heavy site for my other (mainstream) company that blew out my current hosting package at one host.

Since I have to move 6 more video heavy sites (which need download, as well as a lot of storage) to move, and I am working on more heavy bandwidth video, and music sites. I obviously need

1. Excellent support.
2. Good pricing for the bandwidth
3. Recommended Dual Core from current

I need a complete pricing. This includes, but not excluded to, the price for moving my sites from current host(s). Any set up fees. The storage. Box. etc.

Please submit a complete quote.

Oh, and one more thing. Don't waste your time recommending either DreamHost, or WebAir.

**cackle**

Fire away gents!

I'll put together a quote that takes into consideration the things you've listed but if we can talk briefly on ICQ: 4930562 I can definitely define the environment better and make some suggestions.

We have a large number of customers running large storage arrays and we really simplify the process for them.

If you have a chance please contact me on ICQ so we can discuss quickly your exact requirements.

We also have data centers in US ( www.RealityCheckNetwork.com ) and NL ( www.RealityCheckNetwork.nl )

Do they answer within an hour like PHAT?

Kimo 10-30-2007 06:51 PM

phat servers for the support, webair for the price.

you CAN NOT beat phatservers support, the many times i have emailed phatservers support at ANY hour i received a reply within 10mins, usually less.

this is even at like 4am, 6am, midnight, whatever time they have 24 hour support and no one can beat it

we do well below that. we actually own and operate our very own datacenters and run a NOC inside the building where we are staffed 24 hours a day with technical team members.
so there really is nothing in your way of reaching our team at any hour of the day. we are reachable by both telephone and ticket system. the techs carry portable phones when they go out on the datacenter floor so they can answer if they are AFK.

if you are anywhere near Los Angeles any time soon I will even tour you around our 3 floors of DC space or I can send you REAL pictures of our REAL datacenters; not a few images that look like they were taken from a stock photo website.

we truly value our customers because WE KNOW there are a lot of options out there and switching providers is relatively easy, so in order to stay in business we need to MAKE SURE we keep you happy.

TidalWave 10-30-2007 08:21 PM

within the second if you call them. if you use their ticket system, as you would under normal circumstances, you pick the level of urgency from 1-5. the highest level of urgency automatically pages all the techs.

Already did. Got his best offer.

Comparing it now to others. I am not looking for the cheapest. Just a fair offer. Keep business, or get business, and can handle the current BW and storage. Plus new projects.

Must have the same top notch service receiving from PHAT.

Ball park numbers on storage

BF: 80 GB
CFO: 100 GB
DSL: 75 GB
DF: 130 GB
NF: 20 GB
TF: 15 GB

and PH you can already see. But it's maxed out, and I still have to move a lot of movies from a site I just purchased. Which is why I am shopping now.

For others baffled by K/B
my ball park guess is (check the math) I have 400GB of content, 1500GB = 5mbps

Double those in next 6-12 mo.

Nope. Never dealt with them.

I do not switch hosts on a whim. I tend to stay loyal as long as pricing is fair, and service is good. When I get to a crossroads like this, where a lot of infrastructure will be needed. Then I get some new quotes, and look at alternatives.

HunkyLuke 10-31-2007 02:11 PM

I can get you setup on a NationalNet server from $199, as follows:
p4/3.0HT
1GB RAM
2x120GB disks
5Mbps bandwidth = $199/mo (99 setup)

All plans include 24x7 phone & web support, active monitoring and a free backup plan. Bandwidth is a mix of premium, teir1 providers. And I can give you a free upgrade to a dual core processor too (email me to get details).

Of course, 5Mbps is a starting plan and I can see from your graphs that you will likely need more - get in touch with me so that we can give you an exact quote for your bandwidth needs.

You can't get better than NatonalNet for fully managed servers. For more info and to get an exact price quote for your bandwidth needs, email me on [email protected] or ICQ me on 118860760.

cheers,
Luke
