Is your tech support as good as PHAT?

Where I get answers, and installs done w/i an hour? No grief?

TidalWave 10-31-2007 02:58 PM

Yup, our staff is on-site 24x7 sitting in our NOC, which is in the same building as our datacenters. No worrying about if we have any outsourced staff on shift at the moment etc. We always have people there monitoring the systems.

my ball park guess is (check the math) I have 400GB of content, 1500GB = 5mbps

Double those in next 6-12 mo.

OK we can use 500GB disks for an extra $30/mo. I would still like to discuss your exact needs with you, so that I can create the quote that suits you best. We can easily handle massive disk arrays and heaps more bandwidth, just ask some of the biggest players out there that are hosted on NationalNet servers :)

Our policy is to answer all phone calls within 3 rings and tickets within 5 minutes. And you will always be supported by qualified technicians. Want to see how fast NationalNet support is? Then check this thread.

Hey there... I tried to get you on ICQ the other day, let's try to catch each other on Thursday! I would like to also have an opportunity to speak with you before you make your final decision. This is of course a very difficult choice, the more hosts you speak with the easier it will become.

:thumbsup

we do well below that. we actually own and operate our very own datacenters and run a NOC inside the building where we are staffed 24 hours a day with technical team members.
so there really is nothing in your way of reaching our team at any hour of the day. we are reachable by both telephone and ticket system. the techs carry portable phones when they go out on the datacenter floor so they can answer if they are AFK.

if you are anywhere near Los Angeles any time soon I will even tour you around our 3 floors of DC space or I can send you REAL pictures of our REAL datacenters; not a few images that look like they were taken from a stock photo website.

we truly value our customers because WE KNOW there are a lot of options out there and switching providers is relatively easy, so in order to stay in business we need to MAKE SURE we keep you happy.

Question... You own your own data center, thats cool but why does your company name not own its ips and why is it routed through securedprivatenetwork.net do you own that company?

TidalWave 11-01-2007 12:19 AM

we own that company, we use anonymous IPs to help our resellers out so that they can claim whatever they want to.
its under our ASN of 22298

Not sure if this was mentioned yet I apologize if this is a repeat.

It actually looks like pacificrack and oc3networks are the same company. If you traceroute to pacificrack it goes over oc3networks links.

I was wondering a little while ago why the domain was registered in July of 2007 (unless this information source is incorrect) and why a host would obscure their contact information inappropriately in WHOIS (no contact name).

So.... ? How is that a bad thing? We are well respected for our quality, so you are not exactly exposing a disturbing fact, just solidifying our claims even more.

Thanks :thumbsup

Why should it be a question of exposing anything? I think Jay was seeking a moment of clarity just the same as I was. As far as I can remember there has never been an announcement that PacificRack is either the same thing as OC3 or a value added reseller. In fact, with as many posts as I have read it seems that you've made quite an effort to never mention any of this.

And it does matter to prospective webmasters that are in search of new hosting. If they're evaluating PacificRack then they really can't do that here on GFY or any other board because there's no history of service. If it is known that they are one in the same, or especially if PacificRack isn't one in the same and is a reseller then this is even more relevant. Furthermore if they're exactly one in the same just doing business under another name then we're all wondering why a new brand without a brand change or announcement?

:2 cents:

Brad

TidalWave 11-02-2007 01:26 PM

Don't be afraid Brad... no one here is wondering that except for you and the rest of the competition.
We do have a number of clients from GFY.com now who would be able to voice their opinions should they see a thread regarding us.

We also have reviews of our service which can be found by searching Google.com from normal webhosting forums.

I've also offered tours of our datacenter out freely so we're not hiding anything at all, you are just trying to drum up some commotion and if that isn't true then why push the issue?
Everything we claim, everything we offer is fully verifiable and I'm not going to air our laundry on a board just for your sake of drama. If anyone truly cares they can come down for a tour and we'll show them everything.

TidalWave 11-02-2007 01:30 PM

Theres no point in creating drama over this Brad. Please don't stoop to that level. I have never attacked you or spoken badly of you to anyone, and don't plan to for any of the competition even though I know a lot of you (not saying you specifically Brad) use trash talking of your competition as selling points.

You do realize that webair colo's also? For a good portion of their gear at VSNL in NYC?

Brad Mitchell 11-02-2007 02:46 PM

I can't honestly say that I've ever been accused of being dramatic or stooping to a lower level with another host, this would be a first.

Your "Don't be afraid Brad... no one here is wondering that except for you and the rest of the competition." is the kind of comment in a public forum that I simply won't ignore. First, because I'm afraid of nothing. Second, because I believe at heart there is an educated audience of webmasters on GFY who rely on the fiduciary relationships with their host for their livelihood. To suggest otherwise is kind of offends me.

Now you're famous, let's continue discussing here:
