Its 8pm on a friday night. I just got home from dinner only to open my door and first thing that attacks my senses is the smell of SMOKED weed... no problem with that... i look up and see a ridiculous cluster of fools including my roommate and a bunch of guys sitting in the living room with laptops and fucking head sets on.

Not talking some quality headphones or something... im talking ear piece and mics... All of them.

then realize... its a WoWfest... i also realized that the amount of losing taking place @ that very moment ALMOST = the rent my roommate pays me.

I know a lot of people play WoW, so it must be fun... but if it's friday fucking NIGHT and you are sitting with a bunch of nut sacs playing computer games smoking weed... and did that same shit for the past 8 months... It's official; you have lost. When you DONT want to go out and have a good time... and would rather talk about epic mounts and mages and magic the gathering or whatever that fairy shit is based on... it's kind of hopeless for you unless you turn your life around.



The UP side of this is that these lamers are PRIME targets and potential buyers of porn.

I invite my gf and her friends over a lot and the shit i hear is always the same... "thats gay" lol
QUESTION: how can you get any puss playing games and losing all the time... ?!!?

I do have to say though... those guys @ Blizzard are complete and total geniuses. As you can tell i am ANTI-WoW but i have heard from afew of my friends who have attempted to quit the addiction that when you cancel ur acct it never gets deleted... it just waits.... and if u signup again you can pick p where u left off...

I think more genius would be to, give them 2 options:
1. signup again and play from scratch
2. for only $X extra, we will recover your old account

i wouldn't call them wow "losers" just because they enjoy hanging out smoking some pot and playing video games.. live and let live

Actually, back in the day, I got some play from the gaming side of things. Gaming community get-togethers can = geek-out fuckfests. :thumbsup

But, yeah... for the average individual... women:gaming::vampires:garlic

I've never been into video games so i agree there but i don't agree that "going out" is a must on whatever day.

Has it occurred to you that maybe they ARE having a good time?

There are MILLIONS of WoW users and they pay a monthly fee just to use Blizzard servers. Blizzard is making a fortune.

It reminds me of the South Park WoW episode.

i only play WOW in the dead of winter...at night in the wintertime here i dont bother going out.

so if im done everything i need to for work..ill get the wow going
but...its a novelty, i dont see how people get addicted

There are some people in this biz that drive Saleens and Ferraris and live in huge houses and date girls that most guys would die for.. and play endless hours of WoW.

Most people wouldn't call them losers. They can afford to do what they want, and they want to ride their epic mounts.

I love playing shooter game and smoking weed, after and before I get some pussy.... although you are right it's a total waste of time, but it's fun non the less.

i dont think you have to go out Everyday.... but its the weekend!! at least do something social is all i meant. i might have left it out but these guys play wow daily for Hours... time to get some air is all.

you are absolutely right man.... blizzard is making a butt load and they deserve it. The way they have setup the game makes people give up their lives.

From my experiences.... I think you could possibly call WoW the "Best game ever made". I have never played it but i know a LOT of people who would rather play wow than do anything else... i think that if a game is THAT magnetic its probably pretty fucking good.

I agree that the MMORPG addiction thing is pretty bad, but people playing multiplayer games is a social thing. Not traditional like hanging out in a loud club where you can't hear anyone talk, but it is social interaction.

How many people here have met a large % of their friends online? I know I have. For someone who makes a living from the internet you have a pretty skewed perspective of what impact it has had on society.

Yeah man, that game is a huge time sink. Kinda glad I sold my acct a while back.

I don't know about you, but my definition of being social is spending time with friends. Seems he was being pretty social.
