G-Rotica 09-11-2007 10:19 AM

Well I know for a fact that Americans would never stand by and let it happen.

D 09-11-2007 10:20 AM

Also, Snopes debunks the story.. just yesterday, it seems:

It could and the US would actually welcome it with Mexico. Think of it this way. Mexico produces it OWN OIL, it does not Import oil. IN fact it SELLS oil to the US and other countries.

Mexico also has thousands of MILES of beaches that are not being used. It has cheap labor and tacos.

:)

Hahahahaha, nice try.

When you factor in paying for the welfare and healthcare for 108 million Mexicans, the US would come out on the losing end of the deal.

:upsidedow

How would the US be paying for welfare and health care for the mexicans when there would be more jobs for them than ever before, and they would not even have to leave the country.

That is good enough for JMan to freak out over.

who 09-11-2007 11:51 AM

Of course it's fake, because how could one copper coin be worth $20?

Just Mike 09-11-2007 11:55 AM

actually the AMERIO is real (Although that might not be a real representation of the currency) It is in the works and has been planned for years (starting around the time the EU was ratified)

The position is to make a borderless North america with a unified currency However, just liek the EU each country will remain soverign unto itself and there wont be an issue with unilateral social services for canada or mexico. In effect its using this to gain better control over economic supremacy in the world.

eventually this union and the EU will prolly be rolled into a one world system (Just not in our lifetime)

Too little too late. 2010 we become the North American Union. Americans don't pay attention to what goes on in their country, too busy watching American Idol.

yup.....the first mexican trucks started crossing the border 2 days ago

yet it would seem the major news networks only highlighted on it

of course canadian/american trucks have been doing this for years

we might as well get used to it....barring any armed protests, the govt will continue to shovel shit down our throats

TubeTitans_SusieQ 09-11-2007 12:04 PM

Yep, part of the "Security and Prosperity Partnership Of North America" deal.

It's starting already. There is a reason why Bush is being so hesitant on closing the Mexican border...

Martin 09-11-2007 12:19 PM

It's already here folks. The NAU/NAFTA has been implemented. Do some research. The Amero is going to be put into circulation within the next few years.

Makes for a good fantasy/conspiracy but Canada won't be giving up control of it's monetary policy anytime soon.

D 09-11-2007 12:32 PM

The American Union, while a real proposition, is still an idea on the drawing board.

I think you people who are claiming it's a certainty are getting a little bit ahead of things here. :2 cents:

You are right, it's not on the "books" yet but its a very real and pursued policy that all three governments are actively trying to impose. THese are backdoor deals and will be played to and pandered to congress and the public in a very different "non-threatening" way when the time comes to push this through.

No American will accept this thing at face value thats why its being done in almost covert way.

Im not a consipracy threoist and I don't think the end of the world is coming I just belive this what the power brokers of these nations are doing behind closed doors for good or evil...time will tell.

that said, the "SPP" deal is real its implemented and Mainstream media is slowly picking up opn it. "CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, ABC NIGHTLINE, BBC World news and CSPAN" have all recently aired tidbits about this very topic. CNN most notably refers to the "Amero Currency" several times during their broadcasts with Lou Dobbs.

Anyway thats my 12 cents. :)

The items in question are collectible coins or medallions manufactured independently by a company called DC (Designs Computed) coins, Denver, Colorado. The designer, Daniel Carr, in fact, also crafted the New York and Rhode Island state quarters issued by the United States Mint, circulated in 2001. Carr described the amero coins as "prototypes."[7]
Smells like bullshit.
