Ocean View or City View ???
 

what would you prefer to have:

City views: very nice at night when buildings are lit

Ocean view: nothing to see at night but during the day, is nice...

???

I've had views of the Ocean and the City together. It's pretty sweet.

with city noise, there really isnt any, will be high up in building and the windows are special kind to block noise as well....

I've always liked the ocean view

There was someone here who used to post a really sweet view from his apartment once in a while, of the Ocean and city. It was an incredible view... damn I forget who used to post those pics.

But it is with that view in mind that I say... BOTH.

It does go black at night.
I get salt water damage to everything,
No privacy,
No parking for friends, ect,,,

I do not see the ocean when I look out of the window, I have to turn my head to the left.

I like both the ocean and the city view. If I could choose I would be closer to the ocean (more ocean view than city view).

I remember an apartment view from someone in California I think. Very nice view.

Initially, I'd say the ocean as I can't stand the crowd of a city, regardless how nice the view would be. Then again, you give me a stellar home on the ocean that gets ripped apart every decade by storms, I'd have to say a city view. Then again, name the city and crowd I'd have to deal with and I might choose the storms.

had both for years. Was amazing. The lapping waves at night is just the best and being able to from one window look out and see the lights of the city. can't beat it.

If it's New York you may want city because you can have city and bridge views. That's waay cooler than the ocean from Brooklyn.

If it's LA then Ocean. No doubt.

Miami... Ocean is nice, but again, city comes with Biscayne bay and downtown views which are damn nice and more enjoyable over time.

So, where are you going?

Sometimes city view isn't so bad. It depends on where.

Not my photography but both shots were taken right outside of my building in Brooklyn.

That's much more interesting than a plain ocean view IMHO.

Let me know if I'm wrong. Maybe I'm just a city guy.

i think we should alternate ocean an city views because it's possible to go crazy when you view the same thing too often!!!!

City but a city on a nice body of water is best. I am a people watcher so the city would never get boring.
