Best premium tv series in your opinion?
 

by premium, i mean not abc/nbc/cbs....but can be anyone else

personally I'm going with

dexter, entourage, the wire (i hated it, but now i like it), weeds, rescue me

give me some suggestions on other good ones worth taking a look at.....

& don't even bother saying the soprano's....seriously, waste of a keystroke!

i need some new shows to watch while i work :pimp

p.s. someone told me that there has been a leak of the first 2 episodes of dexter season 2 (they just made their way onto the net tonight apparently)

Dexter's first series is the best I have seen in a while. I am really looking forward to the second season but I will wait for it to be properly shown.

You already mentioned Rescue Me, one of the best shows ever made... Have you seen Oz? If not - do so right away!

Also The Shield is pretty good...

I am just watching Oz for the first time and really enjoying it. I am on the 4th season and it has finally gotten fully into its stride.

i guess if you're really into homo-erotic shit oz is tits.....but i'll pass :winkwink:

Man vs. Wild is the shit! I'm hooked on that show.

The Wire, for sure.

I dig Entourage because it's good T.V. that both my girlfriend and I can get into.

I'd say "Deadwood," but that'd be about as topical as saying "Six Feet Under" (best series finale ever, imho - provided you've watched the series) these days.

If you're just looking for DVD's to watch, though, you must add those to your list.

Battlestar Galactica's fantastic, as well, provided Science Fiction doesn't totally turn you off.

You hit on most of our favs there. I'd have to also recommend The Shield. It's one of the most intense cop shows ever. It's Turbo-approved!

You will watch this show and you will be saying to yourself, WOW, this really fucking sucks, and WOW, I can't believe the kid who plays Seany ever got hired as an actor, and WOW this show really fucking sucks, and WOW, when are we going to get to see Tina NAKED and wow, this show really fucking sucks and WOW, when do we get to see Luke Perry's ex employee naked cuz she is fucking HOT and WOW, this show really fucking sucks and WOW, PLEASE DONT SHOW KAI NAKED AGAIN and WOW this show reallly fucking sucks.

You will say all that, but oddly, you will not be able to look away or stop watching.

pretty much anything HBO puts out I really dig. Just got done watching season one of the wire and really dug it. Watching John From Cincinnati now and really dig that as well. Big Love is just awesome too.

I think you seen all of Prison Break , for me is the best ... I waiting now for new season ...

Nip/Tuck is awesome.

I'm a big fan of anything on HBO ( Big Love , Entourage , Rome , etc ) except for John In Cincinnati. I couldn't get into that show. Ed O'Neil's character is driving me crazy. He needs to be sitting on the couch with his hand down his pants, but kudos for him in a major series again I guess.

Showtime is starting to step it up. I haven't seen Dexter or Weeds yet, but I've heard only good things about those shows.

I really got into The Tudors this first season.

The new series coming out next month on Showtime looks SWEET.

FOX FX has the good stuff too
Rescue Me and I haven't watched the Shield but think i'm going to rent those on DVD and plow through the seasons in a weekend or something.

I am hoping it doesn't turn out that they should have ended it at the end of the last season.

Dexter, Weeds, Bullshit (although lately it's been getting too opionionated I think), Ghost Hunters, and Dog the Bounty Hunter.
