What TV program do you usually watch ?

while working, i have BBC World running in the backgroud. I get the latest news and it's not irritating (hate the 5 min commercials on some channels)

Discovery Sci-Trek is cool too.

Fletch XXX 09-01-2002 04:05 PM

Havent watched TV since the Laker Finals.

:(

Am I missing anything?

:thumbsup

DarkJedi 09-01-2002 04:12 PM

actually i think its pretty important, because when i have some shit running in the background i get nervous/pissed off and cant do much work

and with TV turned off i can do tonns of work (but get bored pretty quick)

HBO normally on 24/7 here

or TLC

dinkz 09-01-2002 04:17 PM

Discovery Channel, atleast as long as they don't show that aussie croc hunter...

eru 09-01-2002 04:18 PM

None right now

Reasons:

#1 Cannot get sound out of my TV Tuner (getting fixed on Tuesday

#2 Cable will not be installed until the Spring (gotta love college)

#3 Network reception is terrible due to the fact that I live in a valley

#4 Very very few network channels. I am in HELL.

Beastiepoo 09-01-2002 04:19 PM

Only thing that pisses me off about BBC World is the fact that you seem to get the SAME news 4 or 5 times and the documentaries inbetween seem to repeat as well. But then I was watching it in France last time I spent any serious time looking at it. Maybe the broadcasts vary.

We watch lots of Paramount Comedy channel but mostly because the American sitcoms make for good background noise and do occasionally lead to a giggle.

The only shows we try to catch new series come up are 'Buffy' and 'ER'. Yes we are sad. :winkwink:

Once you break away for a couple months it gets easy. Before this I had gone close to 6 months without TV.

Im going for a year.

Instead of watching TV I like to watch movies.
There are only a few TV shows I really watch: The Simpsons, King of the Hill & MadTV.
When the world cup or Olympics are on I watch them as well.

My girlfriend watches way more TV then me. She is watching something right now while I goof around at this website.

During hockey season, I'm usually glued to whatever NHL game is on, especially if it's a Flyers game. :)

Off season, it's any Law & Order show (as they have a few versions out now), CSI, Forensic shows on Court TV, Discovery & TLC, or Animal Precinct on Animal Planet.

gothweb 09-01-2002 05:12 PM

My favourites...

Buffy
Angel
X-Files
West Wing
South Park
Star Trek (Voyager, Enterprise, TNG)
Simpsons
Stargate: SG1
Millenium

Tex Willer 09-01-2002 05:20 PM

Good grief!!! Is that shitty show still on? I would have thought that even FOX would have cancelled that years ago. It was a VERY bad copy of SNL. SNL itself was getting pretty crappy when I stopped watching it about 4 years ago. I can only imagine how bad those shows are now.:uhoh

Gothweb - Gotta agree on most points with you there. When NOT watching Paramount Comedy the tele is usually tuned to either a Star Trek, Stargate, Buffy, etc. rerun. I suppose its amazing how much TV we watch really. Or at least how much we have it on in the background anyway.

EscortBiz 09-01-2002 06:28 PM

CNN
Discovery
A&E

chodadog 09-01-2002 08:16 PM

Law & Order
The Simpsons

Barbara 09-02-2002 04:27 AM

When I have time - HBO and Discovery Channel

Chong 09-02-2002 06:10 AM

doesn't anyone watch MTV anymore?

Bama 09-02-2002 11:00 AM

I catch about 8 hours of tv/week

WestWing
Sex In The City
Arliss
Law & Order
Law & Order SVU
Discovery Channel
History Channel

I go to bed with Discovery Wings channel in the background. The narrator has a soothing voice and runs all night so you don't have to worry about the 3 A.M. informercial shouting to wake you up.
