Can someone help me with some simple HTML? lol

Lets say i have www.mysite.com/stats open, and id like to refresh it every 1 second.

How can i do that?

so i want to reload the entire URL ... im not talking about refreshing data on server side, i literally want to mimick hitting the refresh button every 1 second

lil2rich4u2 07-04-2007 07:59 PM

im sure there is a simpler way ...

but i can open the window in a table or a frame, and refresh the frame with the same url every 1 seconds?

no idea how to do that, but am i on the right track?

Can someone help me out?

and why do you want to do that ?

lil2rich4u2 07-04-2007 08:04 PM

http://www.allstocks.com/arwizard.htm

that program does exactly what i want to do, via html

{meta http-equiv="refresh"
content="1"}

replace { with < and } with >

maybe I should have read more carefully haha

Code:

<HEAD>
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT=12></HEAD>

will refresh every 12 seconds

How does it know what to refresh?

lil2rich4u2 07-04-2007 08:27 PM

so lets just say, for sake of discussion ...

I am watching google stock, and only want to view it on yahoo's site ... but dont want to hit refresh constantly.

Here is the link; http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=GOOG

How do i reload that page, every 1 second?

lil2rich4u2 07-04-2007 08:40 PM

Code:

<html>

<frameset rows="50%,50%">

  <frame src="a.html">
  <frame src="b.html">

</frameset>

</html>

How can i make this page reload the bottom frame every 1 second ... why is this becoming so difficult lol

tical 07-04-2007 08:42 PM

in b.html put the meta refresh tag

then once it refreshes just once, it wont happen again because the code isnt on the yahoo site ... no?

if im thinking correctly, the code has to be in the frame code, to make the page reload the bottom frame every 1 second ... so the main page with the refresh code is not changing, just the frame with the content.

Figured it out, you were right.

Thanks for the help
