Rock The Ball - Which artist would you like to see (finalists)
 

OK, keep in mind we don't have a huge budget this time around for Kid Rock or other big names like that. Unless sponsors want to step up now!

The ones that fit the budget are:

Anthrax
Ted Nuggent (but he might be slightly too much)
Eddie Money (most hits people will know)
Bo Diddley (Hall of Famer)
Chris Cornell (from Soundgarden & Audioslave)
Ratt
Fishbone (already did them for a Ball years ago)
Slightly Stoopid (Sublime like, up and coming group)
Violent Femmes
Smithereens

Anthrax would do a kick ass show but the Violent Femmes would be pretty rocking also.

My philosophy with the Players Ball has always been fuck it, I like it, so it should work. But I still try to book shows that the majority should like.

But with rock, it's different.

Yea, his solo shit would put everyone to sleep, and quick. Anthraz would put on a killer show that I think everyone could enjoy, and I've heard good things about the Violent Femmes live

Rap shows are easy, but figuring out a rock act for this budget is tougher.

Anthrax woud rock, Femmes are good second choice. Fishbone rocks but not as hard as they use too. I saw them two weeks ago and fricken Dirty the lead singer was so drunk he tripped over a speaker fell backwards yard sailed and his pants fell down. if funny shit like that can be promised I might change my vote. Also D please remove smithereens I saw them by accident last week I thought they were a cover band playing before Boogie Nights played it was no cover band, one word geritol.....
