Watched all 3 again yesterday by coincidence ...

I is the most impact IMHO, and II well deserved the Oscar as well.

III was a long and drawn out affair, but it did tie all the loose ends together nicely.

Puzo's writing and his screenplays were superb - especially the little detail stuff between each movie that kept following throughout.

DEFINITELY the best movie series of our lifetime still to date IMHO.

Amazing films.

That's a movie fuckin' movie marathon right there, Linds!

I have to go with 2 after watching them probably 20 times each over the years.

BOTH GREAT MOVIES ... but 2 edges out 1 imho!

Never liked 3 ... it came too late, was too long and drawn out like you said ... and just didn't have the cohesiveness of the first two.

I do it about once every 5 years ... back to back marathon (about 8.5 hours viewing time in total for the remastered releases back-to-back).

This was the first time Mellanie had seem them, so it was good to watch with a mafioso newbie.
