You need to FTP the image to your host (if you have one)

I had a model send me her sample photos this way... Embedded image in HTML in the email, pointed at C:\

Smoothie... You're using a local link. The image on your hard drive will be visible to you, but not to us. Think of it this way... On your computer, a link to C:\ goes to your hard drive. However, how could that link possibly tell *our* computers which computer to find the file on?

You need the file to be on a webserver. If your PC is a webserver, you should be able to give us a URL with http:// at the beginning, followed by the IP address of your computer, etc...
