ParisExposed.com - How do they get that friggin amount of media attention?
 

It's amazing, and great (expensive) marketing IMHO, even the smallest conservative newspapers here in europe mentioned ParisExposed.com yesterday, so they must be doing a great job with their press releases, and/or spend a lot of money to get them out.

Has anybody an insight how they're doing it? Could it be that most media just draw their news from a few news agencies/services, and that you'd just have to get your press release "in there" for that kind of media coverage?

I'm sure they didn't need to spend more than $100 for their "marketing". Any new news regarding paris hilton is bound to spark headlines internationally

I don't think it's only a form of viral marketing, I'm pretty sure they knew exactly how to create that new hype about ParisExposed.com.
Somehow they managed that all big news sites released a story about that site a few days ago, and the rest is indeed just viral marketing, but the initial "jump start" must have been more than just luck.

When her storage got auctioned off to begin with.. that was big news everywhere.. this is just a follow up and capitalization on that story

Why not? i think if one thing is absolutly fact than it is that paris hilton is one of the dumbest bitches walking the earth.

News about Paris get attention, the mainstream media more than willingly jump on this train to get more viewers/readers, the site owners get more traffic, both are happy. I don't think you need to be a marketing guru to hype a site this way, just remember how much attention Britney's ugly pussy got.

i doubt they paid a penny on advertising, most of the big celeb blogs tmz, egotastic,perezhilton, plus 100 others are posting about it.

Yeah, and I honestly doubt that Britney is running around in front of photographers without underwear just because she's so stupid. I'm seeing it more as a publicity stunt to get her name out to earn make another few $M for whatever she's doing.

I don't mean advertising, I was thinking more about a professional team for press releases, with the right connections/money to get the word out quickly.
