Terrorist Attack!!!
My server just experienced a terrorist attack from 218.227.121.147 .
There were no casualties. |
I'd say; slightly tasteless.
|
I'd say, ridiculously uncalled for?
|
tasteless indeed
|
Funny.
|
I doubt you'd joke if you had lost a loved one in the previous attacks.
I hope lensman hits the ban button for you. |
I think I've said it once before, but I'll say it again. Some things you just don't joke about, this is one of them.
|
i guess i'm too desensitized to care. :(
|
|
Ugly.
|
I just knew that some idiot would do something like this today.
:feels-hot |
I did lose loved ones in the 9/11 attacks. I think you're taking this more seriously cause you actually thought there might be a terrorist attack today.
I assure you there won't. Bin laden is laughing on his laurels knowing that American's are shaking in their boots. Perhaps I should be a bit more sensetive next time, but the board is called GFY after all.. I can't think of a better place for tasteless humor. |
Oh, and before you get any ideas about how I'm trying to get a DVD player, chill out.. I don't even qualify.
|
There's no way you're getting a DVD player with the 1000+ thread already started...

wat is your problem scaring us all like that when u named this topid terrorists attack? |
Well, that's true too.. Anyways, these guys are way to heated.. it was only meant to be light humor.. not to shock everybody into relapse.
Well, I seem to have figured out some server settings which cause the server to only slow down, and not crash in the event of these attacks, and I guess that hold it over for long enough for me to deal with them. Hopefully, with the attacks no longer being sucessful, the haxor's will try to find an easier target. |
RW316 -- chill out.. I'd edit the topic, but it's too late..
Look at it this way: if you're reading this thread, you're still alive. |
As always, my thoughts turn back to the senseless and uncaring comments that any number of people on this board made to us Canadians when we were "whimpering" about our fallen soldiers who were killed in Afghanistan. Now, one person makes a comment about a terrorist attack and you guys jump down his throat...
Stop being such bloody hypocrites or, as you have told us, quit your damn whining!! Where's this sense of humor that you expect us to have about our own tragedies? |
Agreed. This whole oversensitivity is just playing into the emotions that make all the ripoff scam Sept 11 garage sale items so viable.
Mourn for the dead. I lost loved ones too. Now realize that not every reference to terror is about your tragedy last year, and get a friggin sense of humor. |

But that joke was slightly crossing the "line". My :2 cents: |
Hrmm.. I'm starting to get insensetive cause I got bashed so much so quickly, but .. I get it.. I see where it's coming from.
People are anxious about it.. and some people are actually probably quite terrified.. and I didn't stop to think about that first, cause I live in Canada, and quite frankly, I'm not scared of being attacked by any country or terrorist group. But I didn't really mean any harm. Now, I'm trying to figure out what to do with this: [root@www logs]# nmap -O -p 1-65535 -v 218.227.121.147 Starting nmap V. 2.54BETA36 ( www.insecure.org/nmap/ ) No tcp, udp, or ICMP scantype specified, assuming vanilla tcp connect() scan. Use -sP if you really don't want to portscan (and just want to see what hosts are up). Host FLA1Aag147.sig.mesh.ad.jp (218.227.121.147) appears to be up ... good. Initiating Connect() Scan against FLA1Aag147.sig.mesh.ad.jp (218.227.121.147) Adding open port 139/tcp Adding open port 5000/tcp The Connect() Scan took 660 seconds to scan 65535 ports. For OSScan assuming that port 139 is open and port 1 is closed and neither are firewalled Interesting ports on FLA1Aag147.sig.mesh.ad.jp (218.227.121.147): (The 65533 ports scanned but not shown below are in state: closed) Port State Service 139/tcp open netbios-ssn 5000/tcp open fics Remote operating system guess: Windows Millennium Edition (Me), Win 2000, or WinXP TCP Sequence Prediction: Class=random positive increments Difficulty=10000 (Worthy challenge) IPID Sequence Generation: Incremental Nmap run completed -- 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 663 seconds |
hey adultwire, you dont understand the art of self marketing do ya? you just turned everyon on this board off to ever wanting to use your little freehost, and now everyone has a bad taste in their mouth about you...
::bap:: children... |
False...Unlike many other webmasters on this board...Adultwire quickly accepted the complaints and even went as far as to issue an intelligent retraction. He has my respect.
|
Thanks PissOff.
kman -- I'm not really here to market myself -- I'm just chatting about bullshit. I'm sorry if you are sensetive to this topic. Now get a grip, it was just one comment about a server attack. It was light in intention, and it was taken more harshly.. I apologized.. now get on with your life. |
