The funny thing is you can fucking talk tons of shit about many of adware but Zango is sooooo easy to uninstall. No hidden bullshit. Under EVERY pop up us a link to uninstall. It's in the add/remove programs. There are many out there that don't do that. Why not talk about those. Talking shit about an adware company that abides by the rules and is WAY more user friendly than most just makes you everyone look stupid. Using a big name to prove a point then the company abides by every law. Hmmmmm.... Is there a hidden agenda here?

What is really ludicrous about those bragging how much they make promoting scumware is that they appear to be completely ignoring its impact on every other promotion they have running. Someone who has been in this business a while could have hundreds, thousands of pages promoting every sponsor under the sun. All of those are vulnerable to the exact same scumware these clowns are pushing.

Everything else aside, it is hard to imagine there could be a better illustration of how brain dead some people in this industry are.

Depends on how and where you got infected with it. The majority of installs/downloads are bundled with a ton of other crap. But if you think that you can remove zango with the add/remove programs tool, you're seriously mistaken.

most people who install zango don't want it. so if they don't wan't and it is so easy to unistall how can zango make money? I'll take a wild guess here but do correct me if I am wrong they steal money from your aff accounts. You do all the work you pay the server costs you SHOULD get the profit not some multi-million $ shitty company.

I'm also a programmer and also know a thing or two that can go on with the programs when they are installed.
That link is from October 20, 2004. Zango does not deny that it used to practice shady business, but they state that their products are clean right now. I'm not trying to defend them, im looking at this objectively from the point of view of whether or not it can be uninstalled.
So far no one can provide concrete proof that zango is not removed by add/remove programs or that it has timer-activated installation of malicious software.

Btw, SpywareGuide lists Zango at danger level 1 on a 10 scale.

The first step is to kill the process, then remove it with the add/remove programs tool. That just removes the basics of the program. You still need to edit your registry, unregister dll files, and so forth that the add/remove program doesn't do for you. Do a search for zango manual removal and look at everything you need to do. Then go back to your computer and see how much of it you still have.

And that is if you were lucky enough to just get zango. If it was a bundled package you got, good luck.
