Are you one of those that think your post count determines your intelligence and size of your bank account?

The funny thing is you can fucking talk tons of shit about many of adware but Zango is sooooo easy to uninstall. No hidden bullshit. Under EVERY pop up us a link to uninstall. It's in the add/remove programs. There are many out there that don't do that. Why not talk about those. Talking shit about an adware company that abides by the rules and is WAY more user friendly than most just makes you everyone look stupid. Using a big name to prove a point then the company abides by every law. Hmmmmm.... Is there a hidden agenda here?

Hotrocket 10-11-2006 01:33 AM

It's obvious YOU have an agenda TrafficHog..you arent going to get any support for that piece of shit program here no matter how you try to spin it.

I don't like adware. Not trying to spin shit but you are comparing apples to oragnes here. You are talking about Zango as if it's Spyware/Thiefware. There are laws out there that they have to abide by... They are... They are laws out there that make Adware Adware and Spyware Spyware. Go after the illegal shit. Talk about the illegal progarms that are really stealing. Don't listen to Will76. He is a moron just not making sense.

Zango allows people to steal MY sales..legal or not (and thats debatable) it's THEFT plain and simple!

Wow! seems we really must be thorn in zangos side for them to send in a paid shill to try and spin this in their favor..LMFAO!

trust me pal, this isn't over and we will keep up the pressure as long as it takes.

Yes, I have read about them. Look like they have a checker past. I just installed it and went to some top sites. I had a pop up and I saw at the bottom it said " this ad was brought to you by zango click here" something like that. I clicked and it gave me easy instructions to uninstall. This can't be what will76 is bitching about. This is so easy to uninstall...

hahah. Ok, if Zango is stealing your sales give me a figure you think they are stealing from you monthly. Because I think if they have 15 to 20 mil users and there are HOW MANY FUCKING USERS out there??? You are losing maybe 0.005% of your fucking sales???? Give me a number you think...

BTW, fuck Zango. I am not from them or affiliate with them. I just think it's funny how Will76 is getting people all excited about something they know NOTHING about. How dumb are the sheep listening to this moron. IF YOUR AFFILIATE PROGRAM IS ONLY RUN BY COOKIES THEN YOU ARE LOSING ABOUT 5% OF YOUR SALES BECAUSE SOME SURFERS DON'T USE COOKIES. Real affilate programs using session codes. Will76 doesn't know this. Don't follow the unintelligent.

I just installed and unistalled easily. What other apps are installed? Name one please.....

Hotrocket 10-11-2006 02:10 AM

It's irrelevant and impossible to know how many sales are being lost, but there is no acceptable level..theft is theft, if it's $5 or 5,000.

And Will is only 1 of many who have VERIFIED what is happening.

If you don't have an interest in this situation then why are you trying so hard to keep us from continuing? if you don't care..if this isn't affecting you...then I'm sure you have better things to do with your time then to try and sway our opinions.

Exacly my point. Zango is not the problems. There are other programs out there that are the problem.

Zango is not the ONLY problem, but your attempt to whitewash it is... well let's be kind and say naive.

You send a surfer off to one of your sponsors. He doesn't get there, because on the way Zango or one of its many equally "legal" competitors, pops a window promoting an alternate sponsor or your sponsor, but in a window carrying another affiliate ID. Exactly how is that not a problem?

What is really ludicrous about those bragging how much they make promoting scumware is that they appear to be completely ignoring its impact on every other promotion they have running. Someone who has been in this business a while could have hundreds, thousands of pages promoting every sponsor under the sun. All of those are vulnerable to the exact same scumware these clowns are pushing.

Everything else aside, it is hard to imagine there could be a better illustration of how brain dead some people in this industry are.

Can you give me an example site that has the same site popping on it? Also, this is most likely NOT Zango but someone who signed up and bought that keyword.

Depends on how and where you got infected with it. The majority of installs/downloads are bundled with a ton of other crap. But if you think that you can remove zango with the add/remove programs tool, you're seriously mistaken.

Doesn't matter if its easy to uninstall or not... most surfers dont even know they have it, and it fucks me out of some sales. People here have tested it, and yes.. it fucks us out of sales, they're theives plain and simple.

This is hardly zango's fault. Blame developers who bundle zango + whenu + spyware on their products.

I am a computer programmer and tend to know a thing or two about what goes on with programs when you install them. and I know for a fact that zango does steal aff links here is some links to find out what zango does

most people who install zango don't want it. so if they don't wan't and it is so easy to unistall how can zango make money? I'll take a wild guess here but do correct me if I am wrong they steal money from your aff accounts. You do all the work you pay the server costs you SHOULD get the profit not some multi-million $ shitty company.

jacklaidlaw 10-11-2006 12:56 PM

the first link I posted there contains solid proof about zango.

I'm also a programmer and also know a thing or two that can go on with the programs when they are installed.
That link is from October 20, 2004. Zango does not deny that it used to practice shady business, but they state that their products are clean right now. I'm not trying to defend them, im looking at this objectively from the point of view of whether or not it can be uninstalled.
So far no one can provide concrete proof that zango is not removed by add/remove programs or that it has timer-activated installation of malicious software.

Btw, SpywareGuide lists Zango at danger level 1 on a 10 scale.
http://www.spywareguide.com/product_search.php?s=zango
It also labels it as Adware, just like your ICQ, or RealMedia player, or ex-Kazaa.

The first step is to kill the process, then remove it with the add/remove programs tool. That just removes the basics of the program. You still need to edit your registry, unregister dll files, and so forth that the add/remove program doesn't do for you. Do a search for zango manual removal and look at everything you need to do. Then go back to your computer and see how much of it you still have.

And that is if you were lucky enough to just get zango. If it was a bundled package you got, good luck.
